The Role:

As the Manager - Crop Protection, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating a strategic plan to ensure revenue and margin achievement of the Crop Protection Subcategory (Insecticide / Herbicide /Fungicide / Bio-Control).
  • Work closely with Online and Offline Sales Team & Marketing and cross functional team for formulating product sales strategies, product requirements and availability
  • Help sales and marketing teams to position CP products across crops and regions according to brand propositions.
  • Monitor and track product movement, category contribution and develop strategies to liquidate slow movers and distress inventory with regional sales teams and initiate actions.
  • Launching new molecules, ,Lead the Pre-Launch and Post Launch planning and activities from product selection, understanding product market size, Branding, packaging, coordination with vendors to Launch of products.
  • Conduct Training Session for Sales Team on Newly launched products and crop wise positioning of New and existing products
  • Working closely with the procurement team for advance procurement planning as per product positioning planning and market trends..
  • Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with existing brands associated with AgroStar as well as new brands and be the one point of contact for them, owning all aspects of product planning, pricing, and positioning on AgroStar platforms.
  • Build the Agrostar brand in the external market.
  • Study and analyze customer requirements & market trends.

Qualifications we look for:

  • B.Sc. Agri / MBA with Agri background preferred.
  • A minimum experience of 4-8 years working in Product Management / Marketing / Head Office role, in the Agrochemical industry.
  • A good understanding of the Crop Protection category (Herbicides, Fungicides Insecticides etc).
  • Strong technical, market & geography knowledge.
  • Understanding of Product lifecycle.
  • Experience with relationship management.
  • Exposure to market study, research, analysis, and segmentation.
  • Effective and efficient communication skills.
  • Good with data and presentations.
