Description

Overview

We’re hiring a senior product leader to own the foundational technology strategy that enables the DET organization and beyond at Salesforce. This role focuses on platforms, shared tooling, data foundations, and cloud infrastructure that improve reliability, speed to market, and developer productivity. This role reports to the SVP of Emerging Technology and partners closely with the VP, Product, Emerging Technology.

Why Join Us

Operate like an innovation lab while building the standards and capabilities that power multiple teams. You’ll turn strategy into durable foundations, simplify complex cross‑org execution, and raise the bar on technology enablement across DET.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and drive platform strategy to drive experimentation, telemetry and observability across DET
  • Translate complex projects into a phased and sequenced roadmap with milestones that deliver value along the way
  • Establish shared tooling and orchestration patterns so teams can reuse capabilities instead of rebuilding each time
  • Enable real‑time and event‑driven use cases by ensuring runtime readiness, governed data access, safeguards, and feedback loops
  • Lead cross‑functional execution with engineering, architecture, data, security, and product partners; unblock dependencies and align resources
  • Communicate with clarity through decision memos, program updates, and trade‑off proposals
  • Mentor PMs and elevate product quality across platform and partner teams

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management, 4+ years leading platform/infrastructure/data products at enterprise scale
  • Depth in APIs and services: lifecycle and versioning, eventing, entitlements, perimeter and runtime governance
  • Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred), environment strategy, real-time data pipelines and observability
  • Strong data platform background: pipelines, contracts, quality, lineage, governance; pragmatic graph/semantic approaches
  • Familiarity with enabling AI workloads as a platform customer requirement
  • Proven cross‑org program leadership delivering measurable improvements in reliability, speed, and developer experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication with executive presence
  • Comfort with ambiguity and influence without authority across senior stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience
