Description

Salesforce is seeking an experienced Senior Director to lead our Workday Platform & Agentic Transformation Product Line through nurturing a lean Delivery Team, Building Business Intimacy and Achieving Roadmap goals. An ideal candidate has a strong background in Product Management, Engineering and Development practices, and building strong team relationships. In this role a candidate should have experience with delivering on Product Operating Models and be an agent of change to ensure that teams work with skill, efficiency and with outcomes in mind. The abilities to form positive, lasting relationships with collaborators, proactively manage risk, take ongoing constructive feedback, and empower hard-working teams are crucial in this role.

This Product Line Manager owns the implementation of and success for Product Delivery and Operations Maturity, driving teams to grow and stretch by drawing on industry standard methodologies, previous experience, and alignment with corporate strategy. They are an evangelist of product management, engineering and operations methodologies and practices, and apply all subject areas across their delivery process. This professional will be part of the Finance and Accounting Business Partner Group leadership team and is responsible for owning strategic planning of the technology roadmap, staffing plan and budget to achieve outcomes. This role will drive a unified "northstar" architecture across Finance & Employee Success technology while pioneering net-new AI agent capabilities to transform capacity and delivery. Responsibilities:

  • Lead Workday Platform strategy and architecture across both HCM and Finance modules, ensuring optimal shared platform capabilities
  • Define and execute the northstar architecture vision for Finance & Employee Success technology ecosystem
  • Drive net-new AI Agent development and implementation to enhance organizational capacity and delivery across Finance & ES systems
  • Establish data foundation strategies to enable effective AI agent deployment and autonomous system capabilities
  • Partner with internal product teams across the organization to leverage agentic technologies for process transformation
  • Work with both the business and team portfolio management to define annual budget requests aligned to roadmaps and goals and manage spend to expectations
  • Lead Product Management, Engineering and Operations team to deliver on key business and technology objectives
  • Ensure Enterprise Standards and Process are followed by the team and raise exceptions for review in the correct governance frameworks
  • Lead major company projects and be accountable for key reporting indicators for those programs accountable to the Vice President of IT Finance & Employee Success
  • Demonstrate thought leadership for Portfolio and Product development and optimization with a high focus on accountability and ownership at each level of the organization
  • Rally the multi-functional teams that span over multiple time zones and function in a variety of agile methodologies to hold teams and individuals accountable for adhering to standard processes and defined Product and Portfolio

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years in product management or related experience
  • 12+ years of development and/or agile management experience
  • Prior experience managing technology in an "operational" setting driving uptime SLAs, reliability and resilience
  • Experience managing Profit and Loss and team-specific budgets
  • Successfully led and delivered on projects with specific benefits and outcomes achieved
  • Agile methodology and/or Scaled Agile
  • A related technical degree required
  • Workday Platform experience strongly preferred- deep understanding of one or both HCM and Finance modules, platform architecture, and integration capabilities
  • Past experience in Finance and/or HR domain with implementing and managing technology solutions across various process areas - P2P (Plan to Perform), R2R (Record to Report), S2P (Source to Pay), SOX

  • Excellent written, presentation and design skills along with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the company, including executives
  • Can work in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates strong business insight and effective communication skills at all levels of leadership, including C-suite
  • Experience with Enterprise Data concepts as well as leveraging IPaaS/SaaS cloud for deployment of cloud solutions at scale
  • Proficiency in spectrum of delivery methods (Agile > Kanban > hybrid > waterfall)
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and 3rd party financial cloud applications is a big plus

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience deploying finance / HR applications at large scale
  • Experience with Salesforce Agentic technologies and AI agent development
  • Snowflake experience and data platform architecture
  • AI/ML implementation experience, particularly in enterprise finance and HR contexts
  • Deep understanding of how to work directly with a large number of multi-functional collaborators and drive teams with differing perspectives & methodologies in a unifying direction using influence and partnership
  • Highly entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative with a demonstrated bias for action and thriving in a matrixed, hub-and-spoke model environment

In office expectations are 10 days/a quarter to support customers and/or collaborate with their teams.
