Salesforce is currently seeking an experienced Accounting Senior Director, to support the organization’s strategy, growth, and operational excellence. As a leader of the Controllership Centre of Excellence (COE) of our EMEA Finance Hub in Dublin, responsibilities will be around managing operations and processes at regional level as well as owning some selected global processes. Support projects involving design of complex and high-risk accounting transactions and their related processes across our operations in the EMEA region and globally.

The environment is dynamic, provide strong technical accounting in US and IFRS GAAP, and project management skills. You will adeptly collaborate with internal (FP&A, Legal, Treasury, Tax, Global Compensation, internal audit, country controllers etc.) and external (auditors, advisors, regulators, etc) stakeholders, gain leadership experience and help develop staff so that they are able to act when requirements are ambiguous or evolving.

What you will do:

· Lead a team supporting the international accounting operations for group US GAAP reporting as well as Statutory Compliance obligations fulfilment for entities across Europe.

· Support the Global Controllership Processes, as Global Process Owner for certain areas such as compensation and Benefits accounting, intercompany, Cash, Indirect Tax accounting working with key leadership from Finance teams (SEC, Treasury, Consolidations, tax etc)

· Ensure adoption of Corporate accounting policies and processes. Contribute to the direction and influence the definition of the policies.

· Manage monthly close operations, SOX controls and reporting to ensure timely and accurate close of the corporate financials.

· Manage and coordinate compliance and statutory requirements of our EMEA operations. Organize the annual work plan with the operational support of the Shared Servies Center, as well as other Salesforce teams such as Tax or country controllers and Legal.

· Lead liaison with advisors, external accounting firms and external auditors.

· Support ad-hoc projects undertaken by the Global Accounting organisation

· Develops, maintains, and strengthens partnerships with others inside and outside the immediate organization who provide decision making, information, or support to drive timely execution of processes and alignment on end to end processes design.

· Evaluate processes and system infrastructure, along with identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.

· Team leadership, management, training and talent development. Support the continuous training and development of the team, especially in relation to international accounting, tax and compliance

Who you are:

· 8+ years of experience in the International accounting environment of which 5+ years of managerial experience

· Degree in Accounting with professional CPA qualification or equivalent

· Expertise in US and IFRS GAAP acquired within an audit firm or multinational org;

· Robust experience with SOX audit framework

· Ability to drive work independently, identifying solutions, moving them to implementation, and developing long-range strategies

· Experience in managing local compliance obligations and technical accounting matters

· Team player; self-starter; results-oriented; 'can do' attitude; hands-on approach who is able to work with virtual, global & cross functional teams

· Must be able to multitask, work efficiently under tight deadlines and proactively track and report progress

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills to “engage in the conversation”

· Ability to present information in an executive, professional and easy-to-understand way

· Experience with various data and reporting tools; e.g Tableau, Snowflake, AI
