We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Principal Solution Engineer to join our team, with a critical focus on the Insurance industry. This is a strategic role that combines deep industry knowledge with a passion for innovation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data.
Also known as a “Pre-Sales Consultant” or “Sales Consultant,” the Principal Solution Engineer is responsible for presenting our product offerings and architecture in the best light to prospects and customers, building confidence in the company’s technology infrastructure, and removing all technical objections in the sales cycle. To accomplish this, you must have a strong desire to leverage your technical and/or sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, and configure and effectively demonstrate solutions that deliver business value.

Technical Leadership: Act as a deep product and industry expert in Insurance, teaming with Account Executives to develop sales strategies and solutions that address customer needs in new and existing accounts across Latin America (LATAM).
AI & Data First: Leverage expertise in AI, automation, Generative AI Strategy, and LLM-based Autonomous Agents to configure and present solutions that solve critical Insurance challenges across the value chain.
Industry Expertise: Understand customer needs through detailed discovery of their industry processes (e.g., Policy Administration, Claims, Underwriting) to identify value and challenges addressable by our platform, considering the regulatory and operational nuances of the LATAM insurance markets.
Compelling Demos: Build and present customized, functionally relevant demonstrations, taking ownership of the 'technical win' in the sales cycle.
Feedback Loop: Provide valuable customer feedback to the Product Management and Engineering teams to capture new requirements and enhancements.
Culture & Mentorship: Bias towards making those around you successful; you are comfortable working as a team player and mentor in a fast-growing organization.
Strategic Communication: Communicate efficiently up, down, and across an organization, summarizing complex concepts and solutions to senior internal and external individuals and teams (including C-level executives).
Specific Knowledge & Expertise
Solution/Platform Expertise
Proven experience in one or multiple solutions/clouds, such as:
Salesforce Industries Insurance (Vlocity)
Financial Services Cloud, Sales, Service, and Experience Cloud
Omnistudio
Experience configuring and demonstrating a similar leading CRM or Insurance core application.
Business Domain Expertise (Insurance)
Expertise in one or multiple key industry domains, across the Insurance value chain:
Digital Quote, Bind, and Issuance (Policy Sales)
Claims Management and FNOL (First Notice of Loss)
Underwriting and Risk Assessment
Policy Administration and Servicing
Agent/Broker Experience (e.g., Commission Management)
Regulatory Compliance and Customer 360 in Insurance.
Advanced Technology Skills
Experience in AI, automation, Generative AI Strategy, and LLM-based Autonomous Agents applied to insurance processes (e.g., automated claims triage, intelligent document processing).
Knowledge of the related applications, the AI landscape, and other cloud technology.
Strong understanding of modern systems architecture including on-premise and cloud-native systems.
Ability to build impactful assets, demonstrations, and prototypes.
Qualifications
8-10+ years of software/business application sales consulting experience, with significant experience engaging with insurance carriers in Latin America.
Proven success as a Solution Engineer/Pre-sales Engineer/Pre-sales Architect or similar role.
Established and experienced pre-sales professional, ideally with previous experience as a Sales Engineer/Architect for a CRM/AI or an Insurance core systems company.
Language Proficiency: Native or Professional working proficiency in Portuguese is required, High proficiency in English And Working knowledge/Advanced level in Spanish.
Experience in project delivery and working with large groups in pressurized environments to deliver challenging complex proposals, solution designs, and solutions.
Solid presentation and communication skills, with the capability to translate business requirements into compelling software demonstrations.
Continuous learning attitude with a demonstrated history of self-enablement and advancement in both technology and behavioral areas.
Self-management and organizational skills, able to prioritize work based on an evaluation of different requirements.
Ability to travel based on territory alignment and region (primarily within LATAM).
