Program Managers play a critical role at Salesforce, leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives within our Technology organization. Program Managers are responsible for programs and portfolios of programs from beginning to end, streamlining processes and fostering more effective communication. They work closely with executives and key company partners to drive critical programs and activities across the company.

We are looking for a highly skilled Program Management Senior Lead to lead technology programs for Salesforce Product Engineering. This role is responsible for partnering with technology teams to define the vision, roadmap, and technical requirements for current and future technology programs that leverage data and AI to achieve technology goals. The ideal candidate is an expert IC leader who can partner with technology teams to define requirements, drive cross-functional alignment, partner with technical teams, influence executives, and lead Salesforce Product Engineering technology initiatives from definition through to adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Program management: Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technology programs that enable Salesforce Product Engineering initiatives.

  • Technical strategy: Partner with Salesforce Product Engineering teams to define program vision, strategy, and success metrics aligned with business goals.

  • Vision and roadmap: Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize technology processes, workflows, and tools. Translate Salesforce Product Engineering goals and use cases into detailed technical and functional requirements for data, AI, and technology solutions.

  • Stakeholder communication: Drive cross-functional alignment by facilitating communication, decision-making, and accountability among executives and technical leaders.

  • Cross-functional leadership: Cultivate deep, positive, and influential relationships with senior business leaders and technical teams across organizational boundaries, effectively prioritizing, unblocking, and removing systemic cross-team impediments at scale.

  • Performance Tracking: Define, track, and communicate key Program KPIs , providing transparent reporting that measures progress against strategic business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of Program Management experience in a highly matrixed environment.

  • Demonstrated success in leading complex, cross-functional programs that deliver scalable technology, data, or AI-driven solutions, and driving programs from concept through delivery.

  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive influencing skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce products and how they integrate to offer comprehensive solutions to our prospects and customers.

  • Proven experience working with global teams across multiple cultures, time zones, departments, and functions.

  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives, technical, and non-technical team members.

  • Ability to anticipate problems, develop mitigation plans, and effectively escalate gaps to leaders.

  • Flexibility and agility in shifting direction quickly as priorities change.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, process-driven mindset, and resourcefulness.

  • Analytical thinker willing to make cross-functional decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Self-starter; willing to dig in and get the job done with minimal guidance.

Preferred Requirements

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Professional Scrum Certifications (PSM) or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Scrum Master (SSM)

For external candidates - this role is Seattle/Bellevue-based and will require 3 days a week in the office
