Sales Cloud AI is transforming the way companies plan, manage and optimize pipeline management and lead outreach. We are seeing a Senior Manager of Engineering to lead the team that builds the Sales Intelligence Platform within Sales Cloud. This leader will be responsible for shaping the strategy, driving the innovation and ensuring the delivery of high quality products within the Sales Intelligence Platform.
Sales Intelligence Platform (SIP) ingests conversational data (emails, voice, video) and powers several AI agents within Sales Cloud that perform pipeline management, lead outreach and other such sales productivity tools. The platform generates intelligent sales insights based on conversational data that enhances sales productivity for sellers.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the vision for SIP by overseeing teams that are building the platform that powers Sales products such as EAC (Einstein Activity Capture), ECI (Einstein Conversation Insights)
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team to deliver key features for various business needs.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, product owners, and engineers, to deliver features and collaborate on critical product decisions.
- Foster a positive team culture, provide technical guidance, and support career development for team members.
- Define and communicate the engineering vision and roadmap
Required skills and experience
- B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
- 9+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years in management leading one or two teams
- Experience building SaaS products on public cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Clear communicator and collaborator across product, GTM, and executive functions
- High technical fluency—can challenge and support platform and AI discussions
Preferred qualification
- Experience building large scale data ingestion pipelines with low latencies
- Experience building AI-enabled sales products for enterprise customers
