Description
The Chief of Staff to the CEO France acts as a strategic and operational extension of the OU Leader, driving alignment, focus and execution across the France Operating Unit. The role combines strategy, governance, cross-functional orchestration, and selective hands-on project delivery to maximise the impact of the CEO and the whole leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
1. CEO Leverage & Strategic Support
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and the FR leadership team on strategic priorities, sensitive topics, and key decisions.
Prepare and debrief CEO engagements (customers, partners, executives, internal leadership).
Shape narratives, briefings, and positioning for Board-level and HQ interactions.
2. Governance & Operating Rhythm
Design, run and continuously improve the OU governance: Executive Committee (Codir), QBRs, Marketing / PR / Gov Affairs, CEO Office meetings, all-hands, etc.
Ensure effective follow-up on decisions and accountability across functions: Sales, Marketing, Operations, Pre Sales, Post Sales, Ecosystem, Support functions (Legal, ES, REWS, Finance, etc.)
Design & monitor an effective control tower for all Impact initiatives in the OU, with a strong focus on sustainability
Orchestrate the OU V2MOM, and support GTM design, yearly planning and strategic initiatives in full alignement with the COO teams
3. Cross-Functional Leadership & Business Continuity
Act as the CEO’s delegate for selected functions, depending on the context and on CEO’s request (e.g. Marketing, Communications, Customer Engagement) during leadership gaps or transitions.
Provide steering and coordination for the Sales leadership (with a dedicated resource managed within the team) to ensure full alignment between CEO and Sales leadership.
Lead or co-lead specific strategic projects with measurable business impact (e.g. major events, strategic deals support).
4. Customer, Partner & Ecosystem Engagement Strategic Executive Engagement & Ecosystem
End-to-End Executive Engagement Management: Drive the full lifecycle of the CEO’s market interactions (customers, partners, institutions). Ensure meticulous preparation (objectives, context, narrative), provide active accompaniment in key meetings to capture strategic signals, and produce immediate synthesis to accelerate decision-making and follow-through.
Orchestration & Deal Acceleration: Coordinate closely with the CCO, COO, Partner, and Industry leaders to align the CEO’s agenda with top commercial priorities. Ensure every external interaction contributes directly to deal velocity, executive sponsorship, or escalation resolution.
CEO Ecosystem & Thought Leadership: Build and nurture the local business ecosystem by overseeing high-impact presence at major events (Dreamforce, World Tour, Vivatech, Davos) and driving communities, sustainability, and impact initiatives.
Ambassadorship: Act as an internal and external ambassador for Salesforce France and its CEO in dedicated forums, extending the leader’s reach and influence.
5. People, Communication & Culture
Contribute to leadership team cohesion and effectiveness through facilitation, feedback, and structured working sessions (offsites, VTOs, etc.).
Support internal communications: CEO messages, key moments, crisis communications, change management.
Act as a culture carrier, promoting Salesforce values and a “one-team” mindset across clusters and functions.
Profile & Experience
10+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or senior business roles in tech / SaaS.
Proven experience working with C-level executives, ideally as Chief of Staff, Strategy Lead, or in a global account / strategic sales role.
Strong understanding of Salesforce’s business model, products, organisation and governance, or equivalent experience in a similar large-scale SaaS environment.
Demonstrated ability to drive complex cross-functional initiatives from design to execution, in a highly matrixed environment.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including ability to simplify complexity and influence without formal authority.
High level of discretion, resilience, and ability to handle sensitive topics and high-pressure situations.
