Job Title: Technical Program Management Director (IC)

About the Role:
At Salesforce, Technical Program Managers (TPMs) are pivotal in steering large-scale, cross-functional initiatives. As the Director, Technical Program Management for the Hyperforce Trust Platform, you'll spearhead the strategic evolution of Hyperforce everywhere, including networking and connectivity services, security, and scalability across all operating zones and customers.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role where you'll partner with senior leadership to translate vision into reality, driving cross-functional planning and execution. You'll be the champion for executing and delivering consistent developer, operator, and user experiences across all substrates while maintaining the highest standards of security, privacy, availability, data residency, compliance, and scalability that Hyperforce offers.
We're looking for a proven TPM—a passionate infrastructure expert, proactive problem solver, and change agent who thrives on tackling complex challenges. Your expertise in enterprise systems and public cloud services (networking, compute, storage) will be essential in delivering tangible business value.
Your Impact:
Take ownership and accountability for technical program planning and delivery in Identity and Access, Data Security, Network Security, and Technical Resilience, leveraging strong analytical and technical skills
Drive major infrastructure uplifts across services including Compute, Storage, Networking, and Identity
Develop trusted relationships with key technology and functional stakeholders to drive focus on strategic program objectives and optimize delivery
Utilize agile methodologies and product development lifecycle to successfully partner with product and engineering organizations
Collaborate with senior managers and engineers to architect and develop optimal technical and operational designs, delivering customer value quickly
Initiate programs and create alignment on program planning by bringing teams together to define business objectives, program structures, and cross-functional support
Translate business objectives into execution strategy (tactical and strategic) and lead successful execution through strong collaboration and agile leadership
Lead regular review meetings with key stakeholders, providing transparent updates, driving decisions, removing obstacles, managing dependencies, and addressing risks and issues
Provide regular visibility to program status (decisions, dependencies, issues, risks, metrics) through comprehensive status reporting to all stakeholders
Utilize internal tools and an agile mindset to create a collaborative environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation, and continuous improvement
Drive clarity to keep teams moving forward, ensure business objectives are met, and deliver on program commitments
Serve as a thought leader within the organization, advancing our security strategy globally and challenging others to move beyond the current state
Pursue continuous growth through professional development and proactively seek and adopt constructive feedback
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in technical leadership
8+ years of experience leading large-scale, complex infrastructure programs with proven impactful business outcomes
Proven ability to establish and maintain strong credibility and rapport with senior executives, technical experts, and cross-functional team members
Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a history of detailed, hands-on technical work
Deep understanding of technical subjects relevant to infrastructure programs
Comprehensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle and ability to apply agile methodologies effectively in dynamic environments
Expertise in professional, repeatable methodologies for program initiation, work breakdown, scheduling, reporting, risk, and change management
Excellence in organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills within cross-functional, matrix management environments
Ability to collaborate effectively across company functions and time zones with strong time management, analytical, and planning skills
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced management degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent)
Experience with large-scale infrastructure programs in Network Security, Data Security, and Identity and Access Management
Demonstrated passion for understanding ambiguous, sophisticated problems and driving high-quality, innovative, and robust technical solutions
Experience creating detailed reporting and dashboards
Experience working with large data sets to drive changes in long-term trends
