Team Overview:

The FIREInfra Engineering team is a fast-paced, high-volume, global team responsible for pre-production test environments across multiple code branches, substrates, and use cases. We consolidate the responsibilities of six production teams (ILM teams, CCE, DBIE, and CSG) into one pre-production team. Our current footprint includes 100+ Falcon cells and 2000+ 1P hosts (100 environments), with a growth trajectory in Falcon/Hyperforce.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a member of a dynamic, global team delivering and supporting technology infrastructure to meet the substantial growth needs of the business. You will collaborate across the organization with other Systems, Network, Database, and Storage Engineers in delivering innovative solutions in an agile, dynamic environment. A key aspect of this role will be designing and implementing AI initiatives for FIREInfra Engineering and its user communities in a Multi substrate environment.

Members of this team will have the following responsibilities: Core Technical Expertise:

5+ years of software development experience in Preferred in Python (highly relevant for AI/ML libraries), Java or Go, with a strong background in cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP) and DevOps best practices.

Proven experience in the design, development, and maintenance of robust RESTful APIs (or GraphQL) for seamless interaction with AI models and application integration.

Familiarity with the Salesforce app tier (core and near core) and Black Tab functionalities.

Understanding of Hyperforce and 1P architecture and Networking familiarity, both within applications and across services.

Familiarity with RHEL7 or higher OS, relational databases, both in schema and function.

Strong practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes for efficient packaging, deployment, and scaling of AI automation services

Tools and Systems

Experience with workflow orchestration tooling like Temporal for managing complex, long-running processes

Familiarity with Splunk, Kodama, Git, Perforce, SFCI, Strata, and release tools such as MR.

Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kaiju leveraging Argus/Huron.

Knowledge of CI/CD Tooling (Jenkins and Spinnaker).

Operational Excellence

Willing to take support rotation/on-call

Ability to context switch quickly, both in daily tasks and release objectives

Curiosity and willingness to dig deep to identify root causes of incidents

Enthusiasm for AI-based tools development, specifically to enable code triage and testing.

Desire to become an internal team SME on a critical service, such as Hbase or CRMA, etc.
