Description
The Chief of Staff / Chief Transformation Officer to the CEO Central acts as a strategic and operational extension of the OU Leader, driving alignment, focus and execution across the Central Operating Unit. The role combines strategy, governance, cross-functional orchestration, and selective hands-on project delivery to maximise the impact of the CEO and the whole leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
1. CEO Leverage & Strategic Support
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and the Central leadership team on strategic priorities, sensitive topics, and key decisions.
Prepare and debrief CEO engagements (customers, partners, executives, internal leadership).
Shape narratives, briefings, and positioning for Board-level and HQ interactions.
2. Governance & Operating Rhythm
Guiding the Organization through the Transformational Journey in the Sales- and TechOrg (incl. Supporting the Managers)
Build a strong connect to the US Product Teams and align on the OU specific Product Requirements
Design, run and continuously improve the OU governance: Executive Committee (Codir), QBRs, Marketing / PR / Gov Affairs, CEO Office meetings, all-hands, etc.
Ensure effective follow-up on decisions and accountability across functions: Sales, Marketing, Operations, Pre Sales, Post Sales, Ecosystem, Support functions (Legal, ES, REWS, Finance, etc.)
Design & monitor an effective control tower for all Impact initiatives in the OU, with a strong focus on sustainability
Orchestrate the OU V2MOM, and support GTM design, yearly planning and strategic initiatives in full alignment with the COO teams
Representing the OU in internal and external events as a speaker
3. Cross-Functional Leadership & Business Continuity
Act as the CEO’s delegate for selected functions, depending on the context and on CEO’s request (e.g. Marketing, Communications, Customer Engagement) during leadership gaps or transitions.
Provide steering and coordination for the Sales leadership (with a dedicated resource managed within the team) to ensure full alignment between CEO and Sales leadership.
Lead or co-lead specific strategic projects with measurable business impact (e.g. major events, strategic deals support).
4. Customer, Partner & Ecosystem Engagement
Support preparation and follow-up of strategic customer and partner engagements (C-level meetings, executive sponsorships, strategic deals, escalation management).
Coordinate with Partner, CCO, COO and Industry leaders to ensure a coherent approach to top accounts and priority clusters.
Help build and nurture the local ecosystem: events (Dreamforce, World Tour, Vivatech, Davos), communities, thought leadership, sustainability and impact initiatives.
Act as an internal and external ambassador for Salesforce Central and its CEO, in dedicated forums and events.
5. People, Communication & Culture
Contribute to leadership team cohesion and effectiveness through facilitation, feedback, and structured working sessions
Support internal communications: CEO messages, key moments, crisis communications, change management.
Act as a culture carrier, promoting Salesforce values and a “one-team” mindset across clusters and functions.
