Salesforce utilizes our platform for sales enablement, customer sales and the sales commissioning processes. The Global Incentive Operations team located in various locations around the world and now is the global leader for sales commission policies and processes for all of our direct and indirect sales team. This position is for a Analyst role and will be responsible for Analytics and commissions processing for the largest accounts in the company. This role will provide analysis and guidance on resolution while adhering to policies and processes. The Global Incentive Compensation Operation Analyst will be the point of contact for business partners and account executives. This role requires an individual who is able to work in a team environment, be self-motivated, detail-oriented with demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills.
This position will partner with cross functional teams and stakeholders, including Sales, Revenue Recognition, Global Deal Desk and Revenue Operations.
Your Impact:
• Manage processes to identify non-routine transactions, incorrect or incomplete data and to amend and correct sales order and related data. This includes creating and running reports in Salesforce, leveraging Salesforce analytics and Excel to upload and manage data in Salesforce.
• Understand the data models, related objects and sales order processes within Salesforce to be able to analyze gaps, provide guidance to sales ops and the sales commission team. Assist in researching customer activity to clarify complex transactions and processes.
• Be a key contact and resource for sales account executives, sales operations and sales commission team regarding policy and process of sales commissions and applying that to specific transactions.
• Analyze and locate patterns within data to provide accurate and consistent order data and make processes more efficient for future time periods.
• Provide analysis of complex sales transactions and orders and make recommendations regarding treatment in accordance with policies.
• Manage a monthly process and cut-offs as part of our sales commissions process. Complete and prioritize work as required.
• Manage a case queue of requests, questions and corrections to facilitate specific transactions and events that fall outside routine processes.
• Ad hoc projects / presentations related to company initiatives and/or management requests
Basic Requirements:
• 6+ years work experience
• Minimum of 4+ years experience utilizing automated commission systems (e.g, Xactly, Callidus, etc.)
• Must have strong Excel skills.
• Strong skills in use of order management or similar systems, preferably previous experience in a CRM environment
• Experience with complex crediting and commission plans and structures.
• Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills; process oriented.
• Ability to communicate across various functional groups within an organization, globally
• Superior problem solving skills
• Must be able to accurately compile and synthesize both quantitative and qualitative data
• Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
• Working knowledge of CRM, SOQL, SQL, Python, snowflakes to present large volumes of data in an easy-to-understand narrative.
