CBS (Consumer Business Services) has 15+ sub verticals and varied segments (across travel, hospitality, professional services, engineering & construction, and general commercial) and no productized industry clouds, requiring go-to-market engagement from agile and versatile thinkers that are able to quickly sense patterns and similarities across disparate industries, who are deeply curious learners and voracious researchers, and who are able to multi-task across customer types and challenges with ease. We are seeking an experienced and creative Design Solutions Engineer to join the CBS Solutions org within our Multipliers team, aligned to our most important CBS Accounts across segments. The Multipliers team is a blended team responsible for working across our top accounts, codifying repeatable frameworks and assets, and adapting their skills to meet the frequently changing needs of one of Salesforce's most diverse OUs.

Role Description

As a Design Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for working with our Account Solution Engineers and Strategic Solution Engineers to produce reusable and scalable assets, supporting key initiatives across the business and scaling the reach of the multiplier team. This role will have the opportunity to influence a large territory through a variety of scale projects, including creating visual demo and design assets. This role will be key to supporting our agentic go to market strategy, finding creative ways to combine product and industry knowledge and bring it to a large part of our customer segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally, with deep alignment to Strategic Solution Engineers, delivering on strategic business priorities focused on scale across our industry
  • Establish strong technical credibility and design POV, creating beautifully branded and executive-ready demo assets across the team
  • Lead the CBS Microsite strategy, maximizing customer impact through scale
  • Contribute to pipeline creation, working closely with account teams to identify patterns for scale projects
  • Collaborate across all CBS segments (commercial and enterprise) to ensure consistency in messaging, approach, and execution
  • Drive multiplier impact on strategic accounts, ensuring scalable success across the industry
  • Create demo videos and self-guided click through demos, supporting create new ways of delivering content to prospects and customers
  • Support bespoke demo components for accounts on a need basis
  • Support creation of holodecks and executive presentations
  • Support customer workshops with prototyping and visual mockups and outputs
  • Support RFP responses, packaging up complex bill of materials in an executive-ready format
  • Build custom apps and web components to support product demos
  • Create visual prototypes and mock-ups, allowing customers to get a true sense for what an implemented solution could look like in their environment (using various tools like slides or Figma)
  • Create exceptional visual assets that amplify messaging and capture executive attention, including executive presentations, one-pagers, customer journey maps, and thought leadership content
  • Experiment and prototype with new technology and mediums to bring ideas to life in innovative ways for customer engagements
  • Design and maintain a clean, organized library of reusable assets, templates, and frameworks for the territory and broader team
  • Apply critical thinking skills and creativity to create catered, innovative narratives that help clarify and consolidate complex technical messaging
  • Build motion graphics, video components, and interactive prototypes to showcase platform capabilities and customer outcomes

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of design experience either in-house, agency, or at a consulting practice
  • Experience with demo tools like Saleo, Cursor, and demo vibe coding
  • Background in graphic design, communication design, or UX design
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Google Slides
  • Strong craft and design sensibility, including typography, visual hierarchy, photography curation, and creating seamless digital experiences
  • Ability to quickly bring ideas to life through a variety of means, from hand-drawn storyboards to polished presentations and interactive prototypes
  • Proven ability to quickly pivot between different brand identities and visual languages
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills, including presentation creation and delivery at the C-suite level
  • Track record of solution engineering, consultancy, delivery, or training success for an enterprise software solution organization
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce solutions and capabilities
  • Thrives in ambiguity and "just in time" work, demonstrating a self-starter attitude that takes initiative and relentlessly moves the ball forward
  • Ruthless prioritization skills and high comfort level working within a Sales organization
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and create in an iterative fashion
  • Inquisitive, practical, and passionate about technology, design, and sharing knowledge and standard processes
  • Understanding of Cross Cloud technologies
  • Crucial to demonstrate an understanding of key industry processes including appropriate AI use cases

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years' experience as a solution/sales engineer for a CRM company or similar technology
  • Experience in Core Solution Engineering and CBS industry
