Presales Security Architect (AMER) – AI, Trust & Governance

What if you were empowered to solve the most complex business problems that Fortune 500 companies face today? What if you had the best Agentic AI and mobile cloud technology stack to achieve that goal? What if you could work for a company that believes top-line growth is as important as giving back to the community?

At Salesforce, we are redefining the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity. We are looking for a visionary Security Architect to lead the charge in securing the future of autonomous enterprise agents. If you thrive on crafting innovative solutions and transformational strategies in a collaborative environment, your #DreamJob is here.

Description:

We are seeking a Security & Governance Architect to drive strategic engagements across our most significant AMER accounts. This is a high-impact, technical, customer-facing role where you will "own the room" with CISOs, Chief AI Officers (CAIOs), Compliance Officers and Data Privacy Officers.

You will be the bridge between cutting-edge innovation and enterprise-grade trust. Your mission is to demonstrate how Salesforce’s infrastructure enables the safe deployment of Agentic AI (Agentforce) while maintaining a rigorous security posture. You must possess the technical depth to navigate complex use case discussions and the sales acumen to translate risk and governance models into clear business value.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Targeted Executive Engagement: Partner with sales teams to remove security as a blocker by speaking directly to CISOs, CIOs, and CAIOs, aligning Salesforce’s Trust Layer with their strategic risk appetite.

  • Agentic AI & LLM Security: Lead the conversation on the safe adoption of Agentforce. Educate customers on prompt defense, data grounding, and how our "Trust Layer" prevents data leakage and toxicity in autonomous AI agents.

  • Data Governance & Sovereignty: Architect solutions that address complex data residency, discovery, and classification requirements, ensuring customers maintain full control over their metadata and sensitive information.

  • Compliance Leadership: Apply deep knowledge of global regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and industry frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, ISO 42000, SOC2) to validate Salesforce's compliance posture in the context of generative AI.

  • Technical Strategy: Develop and deliver high-fidelity technical demonstrations, often using configuration or light coding, to showcase Data security, DLP and SSPM.

  • Internal Advocacy: Work closely with Salesforce Technology & Product Engineering teams to feed back customer requirements, influencing the roadmap for future security and AI governance features.

Your Impact:

  • Trusted Advisor Status: Build deep, long-term relationships with executive stakeholders, becoming the go-to expert for how AI and Security intersect.

  • Sales Velocity: Drastically reduce the "Security Review" phase of the sales cycle through proactive education and robust architectural documentation.

  • Thought Leadership: Represent Salesforce at industry conferences (e.g., RSA, Black Hat, Dreamforce) and contribute to our broader security knowledge base.

  • Innovation: Constantly absorb new trends in the "Attacker" landscape—such as AI-driven threats—to better defend our platform’s value proposition.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Security Expertise: 5+ years of experience in a technical presales or security architecture role, with a proven track record of selling to the C-suite.

  • Certifications: Active Information Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CISM, or SANS/GIAC).

  • AI & Data Fluency: Strong understanding of the AI Life Cycle, including LLM security, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and the ethical implications of autonomous agents.

  • Governance Depth: Mastery of data privacy laws and security frameworks (ISO, NIST, SOC, FedRAMP).

  • Technical Stack: Deep familiarity with cloud-native architectures (SaaS/PaaS), API security, OIDC/SAML, cryptography, and relational database security.

  • Communication: Exceptional ability to "translate" deep technical risks into business-level impact for non-technical executives.

  • Travel: Ability to travel within the AMER region as required by account needs.

For roles in San Francisco and Los Angeles: Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring, Salesforce will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
