Description

Hello! We're the Content Experience (CX) team for Industries, and we help our customers accelerate growth and boost productivity—from lead management to forecasting and closing revenue.

We're looking for an experienced technical writer to join our team. The CX team creates content for new technologies like generative AI and streamlined user experiences. If you're comfortable with both the "technical" and "writer" aspects of the job, this is for you!

The ideal candidate is passionate about crafting comprehensive, accurate, and approachable content for admins, end users, or developers. You'll help them understand and connect with sophisticated technical subjects. You enjoy digging into what your audience needs to succeed, collaborating closely with internal developers, and working with other writers to build phenomenal content.

Your Impact:

We work closely with other writers, product managers, engineers, and user experience designers in an Agile development environment. You'll produce in-app assistance, release notes, help documentation, and videos for administrators and developers. We're passionate about innovating and developing solution-oriented content strategies that deliver the right content, the right way, at the right time.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the need for, plan, and deliver a range of documentation for Salesforce admins and developers, including conceptual content, release notes, how-to/task-based content, and developer content.

  • Collaborate with other writers on the team to help scope and create feature documentation.

  • Learn and apply style, language, and structure standards for various deliverables.

  • Identify opportunities to improve our documentation processes and tools to make the whole team more efficient.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • 6-10+ years of technical writing experience.

  • Ability to write clean, concise, and approachable content.

  • Experience with AI tools for problem solving and content creation such as Cursor or Claude Code.

  • Experience optimizing content for AI and understanding how structured data improves AI responses.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deliverables across different product areas.

  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and subject matter experts.

  • Proven ability to conduct in-depth research, gather information from technical sources, and synthesize it into understandable content.

  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Appetite for learning and experimenting with new tools, and ability to quickly incorporate them into daily workflows.

  • Experience with source control software and managing complex documentation builds.

  • Familiarity with XML/DITA and Markdown.

Desired Experience/Skills:

  • Experience with CRM applications (Salesforce familiarity a plus).

  • Experience with Salesforce-specific technologies (Apex, Lightning Web Components, etc.).

  • Experience working within a global team.
