Description

This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of how Salesforce enables its field — at the exact moment when AI and agentic technology are redefining what "ready" means for a global sales organization.

The Senior Director, Global Field Readiness Transformation will serve as the architect, operator, and champion of a bold new enablement model. This leader will drive strategic planning, portfolio execution, and operating model evolution across Global Field Readiness — owning a portfolio that spans readiness strategy, agentic enablement, technical delivery, measurement, and executive communication.

We are looking for a uniquely blended leader who brings together three critical capabilities:

Strategic Vision — You will set a compelling, forward-looking vision for how we transform field enablement for an agentic future. This means connecting emerging AI and technology trends to business outcomes, inspiring stakeholders across the organization, and making bold decisions about where we invest and why.

Product Management Excellence — You will translate vision into a clear, prioritized roadmap and drive the end-to-end delivery of product-shaped solutions. This role requires the ability to gather and synthesize input from multiple stakeholders, manage a complex portfolio of initiatives, and manage a team who ships work that is well-designed, measurable, and built to scale. Key portfolio areas include Coaching, Planning, Onboarding, productivity Agents, and the readiness platforms that power our field.

Operational Rigor — You will bring everything to life. This means building the structures, processes, and accountability mechanisms that move work effectively from planning and development through pilot, release, and handoff into long-term ownership. Critically, you will drive real behavioral change across the organization — ensuring that transformation doesn't just exist on paper, but lands in the field.

The ideal candidate has led large-scale transformation efforts where strategy, product, and operations were deeply intertwined. You are as comfortable in a whiteboard session defining the future as you are in a stakeholder review ensuring the details are right.

Core Responsibilities

Strategy and Governance

  • Own the Transformation Office operating cadence and strategic planning across Global Field Readiness.

  • Maintain roadmap source of truth and strategic accountability across the portfolio.

  • Translate business priorities into clear workstreams, ownership, sequencing, and success criteria.

  • Drive cross-functional alignment across readiness leadership, product, technology, analytics, and operations.

  • Provide clarity on portfolio direction, tradeoffs, timing, and lifecycle stage across major initiatives.

Technology and Product Delivery

  • Lead the portfolio across Coaching, Planning, Onboarding, enablement reporting, and supporting readiness platforms.

  • Guide AI and agentic enablement architecture, innovation priorities, and product direction in partnership with technical and product leaders.

  • Oversee development pipeline health, release management, technical standards, and readiness for production-facing work.

  • Partner across strategy, innovation, product, and pilot teams to convert concepts and prototypes into scalable capabilities.

  • Strengthen transition planning, release discipline, and support models for high-priority launches.

Measurement and Communication

  • Own the enablement measurement framework for transformation products and technology across adoption, performance, consumption, and operational signals.

  • Create executive updates, stakeholder communication, and reporting that are credible, clear, and decision-ready.

  • Translate complex transformation and technical work into concise business narratives for leaders.

  • Connect portfolio progress to business outcomes such as readiness, adoption, quality, speed, and scale potential.

Team and Operating Model Leadership

  • Lead an agent-first way of working that improves visibility, clarity, execution speed, and operating efficiency.

  • Strengthen source-of-truth discipline across work management, engineering delivery, and runtime operations.

  • Improve role clarity, ownership clarity, and handoffs across the Transformation Office and adjacent teams.

  • Reduce key-person dependency through stronger documentation, better systems, and clearer operating mechanisms.

  • Support org design and team effectiveness across the technology and transformation portfolio.

Candidate Profile

  • Senior leader with experience in transformation, readiness, enablement, product, strategy, operations, or related functions.

  • Strong product portfolio leader who can set direction and drive execution across multiple concurrent workstreams.

  • Comfortable operating in AI- and agent-enabled environments and partnering closely with technical and product teams.

  • Strong executive communicator who can align stakeholders, simplify complexity, and build confidence in the work.

  • Able to turn ambiguity into structured work, measurable outcomes, and durable operating models.

  • Brings meaningful delivery discipline without reading as a pure execution or PMO profile.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience leading cross-functional transformation in a readiness, enablement, learning, employee success, or product-adjacent environment.

  • Experience leading a product team or being an individual product manager in a previous role.

  • Experience owning roadmap, governance, delivery, and reporting in the same role.

  • Experience with pilot-to-scale motions, release readiness, and transition into steady-state ownership.

  • Experience building or scaling AI-enabled workflows, agentic programs, or modern operating models.

  • Experience establishing measurement frameworks and executive reporting for emerging capabilities.
