Role Description

The Senior Manager, Solution Consulting leads a team of consultants tasked with delivery for our most complex, enterprise-level customers. They may also lead a team of managers with direct reports. They are forward-thinking leaders responsible for hiring, building, and developing outstanding teams tasked with delivering the highest-quality customer-facing engagements. They help ensure the success of these teams while securing the highest CSAT and business outcomes.

The Solution Consulting Senior Manager leads multiple work streams in complex enterprise customer engagements, partnering with the program team and other key stakeholders to drive the vision while executing on key deliverables. They serve as advisors to the hands on team members, coaching in execution and solution best practices. They have demonstrated proven expertise in technical knowledge or cross-cloud Salesforce product knowledge with 5+ years industry experience or 10+ years of consulting experience and expert level knowledge of the client's business, delivery models, IT constraints, program constraints in order to deliver customer ROI.

They are strong presenters and facilitators that are able to co-create the vision and developing the roadmap with the customer while leading the execution and gaining acceptance. They are capable of driving difficult conversations and removing roadblocks to execute the business strategies across multiple work-streams or programs. They are proficient at analyzing issues and obstacles to determine root cause, and can identify appropriate corrective action, estimation of work effort and understand/mitigate impact to the program schedules and resources. They interact with C-level executives including technical and business stakeholders at every level. They partner with the customer product owner, business process owner and technical resources to understand requirements, analyze information, and can design comprehensive solutions. They are able to convey via storytelling typical business challenges or common objectives faced by customers within the industry along with results or implications of the resolution.

Solution Consulting Senior Manager are stewards of the Professional Services Methodology and use their networks to ensure that best practices are followed. They contribute to the methodology by improving process/methods and documents to help others. They partner with Customer Success and Product teams to ensure the solutions are driving the most effective achievement of the value objectives and can be leveraged by other teams within Services Delivery. Solution Consulting Senior Manager drive thought leadership and best practices, are leaders in the Practice where they have the most expertise. They will contribute both internally in their Community and externally in the marketplace.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including enterprise consulting experience, in a mid-to large-sized organization in positions of increasing responsibility
  • At least two years of people management experience; preferably more
  • Strong communication skills; adept at navigating/mediating conflict and fostering healthy dialogue
  • Strong interpersonal skills; nurtures effective working relationships with others
  • Exceptional analytical skills; experience overseeing and managing business metrics, productivity, and outcomes
  • Relevant Salesforce certifications and consulting experience are strongly recommended
  • Ability to travel; percentage of travel time will rarely exceed 10%
