The Experience
The Account Executive, Data Solutions, is part of the Swiss Sales team at Salesforce, responsible for driving incremental subscription and cloud revenue across a defined set of enterprise accounts. In this role, you will maintain and grow relationships within assigned accounts, maximise the Salesforce data solutions footprint, and translate complex organisational challenges into data-driven outcomes for customers.
We are looking for an Account Executive who brings tenacity, perseverance, and a genuine passion for customer success — with the ability to engage at the highest levels of a customer organisation and develop a strategic, long-term account vision.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Develop and execute a strategic business plan for each assigned account — identifying core customer requirements, mapping Salesforce data solutions to agreed outcomes, and selling to executive-level decision makers up to and including C-suite level.
Build and manage your own pipeline for both short and long-term opportunities, working with strategic partners and marketing to develop account-specific plans including events, seminars, and roadmap sessions.
Maintain accurate forecasting and opportunity management using Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, qualifying against the MEDDIC (Metrics, Economic Buyer, Decision Criteria, Decision Process, Identify Pain, Champion) sales methodology and delivering against quarterly revenue targets.
Drive incremental growth within assigned accounts by identifying new opportunities, expanding the Salesforce footprint, and ensuring customers achieve measurable, data-driven business outcomes.
You're Our Person If...
You have 5 or more years of experience in a field sales role selling enterprise software solutions, with a proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets.
You have a deep understanding of the power of data and its impact on business decision-making, with the ability to translate complex organisational challenges into compelling data solutions.
You have in-depth knowledge of enterprise customer decision-making processes, goals, and strategies, and are comfortable engaging at C-suite level.
You are fluent in German and English and thrive in a complex, multi-stakeholder sales environment.
Even Better If...
You have direct experience with data management, data integration, or cloud data platforms in a Swiss or DACH enterprise market context.
You have familiarity with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDIC and experience working with strategic partners to drive joint pipeline development.
