Description
We are looking for a dynamic and customer-obsessed Director, Presales to join our Services Sales Solutions team in India. In this role, you will be a strategic advisor and trusted partner to our customers and field sales teams — driving the presales motion for Salesforce Professional Services. You will bring deep expertise in Agentforce and Industry Clouds to help customers envision, design, and commit to transformational Salesforce implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
Presales Leadership
Lead end-to-end presales engagements for Professional Services, partnering with Account Executives and Solution Engineers to win new services business
Own the development of compelling proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), Discussion Documents (DDs), and solution narratives tailored to customer needs
Drive executive-level conversations with C-suite stakeholders, positioning Salesforce PS as a strategic delivery partner
Solution Advisory:
Serve as a subject matter expert on Agentforce — including autonomous agents, prompt engineering, and AI-powered workflows — and articulate the services delivery approach for AI-led transformations
Bring deep knowledge of Industry Clouds (e.g., Financial Services Cloud, Health Cloud, Manufacturing Cloud, Consumer Goods Cloud, etc.) to advise customers on industry-specific implementations
Design high-level solution architectures and implementation roadmaps that align to customer business outcomes
Customer Engagement
Build and nurture trusted advisor relationships with customer stakeholders across IT, business, and the C-suite
Conduct discovery workshops, solution presentations, and executive briefings
Translate complex business requirements into practical, value-driven Salesforce PS engagement models
Commercial & Deal Execution
Shape services deals commercially — including scoping, effort estimation, pricing strategy, and risk framing
Partner with Delivery Assurance and Commercial teams to ensure deals are set up for successful execution
Maintain a strong pipeline hygiene and contribute to accurate services revenue forecasting
Thought Leadership & Enablement
Represent Salesforce PS at customer events, industry forums, and Salesforce flagship events (Dreamforce, World Tour, etc.)
Mentor and coach junior presales team members, elevating the overall team capability
Contribute to the development of reusable presales assets, playbooks, and point-of-view documents
Required Qualifications
15+ years of experience in enterprise technology, with at least 5+ years in a presales, solution consulting, or advisory role
Demonstrated expertise with Salesforce Agentforce or AI/automation platforms and the ability to articulate AI-led services delivery models
Strong knowledge of Salesforce Industry Clouds — hands-on or advisory experience across at least 2 industry verticals
Proven track record of winning large, complex Professional Services engagements
Exceptional executive communication, storytelling, and presentation skills
Strong commercial acumen — experience shaping SOWs, pricing models, and risk frameworks
Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive consensus across cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Application Architect, or relevant Industry Cloud certifications)
Experience working in or with a Big 4 / Global SI consulting environment
Familiarity with Salesforce delivery methodologies (Agile, Accelerate)
MBA or equivalent advanced degree
