Description
We're looking for an experienced technical writer for the Industries Content Experience team. We work closely with product leadership, PMs, and engineers building Salesforce's Industries Common Services — the shared platform capabilities that power multiple Industries clouds, including features like Document Generation, OmniStudio, Business Rules Engine, Decision Explainability, and more. This role focuses on delivering high-quality documentation for admin and end-user audiences, including help articles, release notes, in-app assistance, setup guides, and Trailhead content that help customers configure and adopt Industries platform features.
Responsibilities:
Assess the need for, plan, and deliver a range of documentation for Salesforce admins and users, including conceptual content, release notes, how-to/task-based content, and developer content.
Collaborate with other writers on the team to help scope and create feature documentation.
Learn and apply style, language, and structure standards for various deliverables.
Identify opportunities to improve our documentation processes and tools to make the whole team more efficient.
Work with the content strategist to identify gaps and improve adoption of content
Gather documentation metrics and analyse content quality and usability on regular basis
Use AI to bring in productivity and innovation to the content life cycle
Required Experience/Skills
12–17+ years of technical writing experience for enterprise or SaaS software
Experience writing for admin and end-user audiences in an Agile development environment
Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing multiple priorities and defining scope in ambiguous situations
Familiarity with Gen AI tools/concepts and a desire to use gen AI to accelerate the content development lifecycle
Experience with common authoring tools and source control (Perforce/Git)
Strong content strategy skills with a customer-first mindset
Desired Experience/Skills
Experience with or knowledge of Salesforce Industries platform features (e.g., OmniStudio, Document Generation, Business Rules Engine) or cross-cloud shared services
Familiarity with Salesforce CRM concepts and the broader Salesforce platform
Working knowledge of Markdown, XML/DITA, and structured authoring tools (e.g., Oxygen)
Experience with in-app assistance, Trailhead, or learning content
Experience with global or cross-functional teams
