Description

The role

We are looking for a Director of Product Management to lead a significant part of our Events Management product for Agentforce for Life Sciences.

This is a senior individual contributor role with meaningful ownership of product strategy, roadmap, and execution. You will decide which problems we should solve, how we should solve them, and how those decisions come together into a product that gets stronger across multiple releases.

The problem space is broad. Success requires strong judgment about what matters most, what needs to happen now versus later, and when an existing approach should evolve rather than simply be extended.

You will work ahead of Engineering & UXDesign to establish product direction and prepare future releases, while staying close enough to execution to make sure what we ultimately ship solves the problem well.

Deep life sciences experience is important for this role. You should understand how pharmaceutical, biotech and medtech companies operate and the constraints that come with building products for highly regulated environments. Direct experience with life sciences Events Management is a strong plus.

What you will do

  • Own product strategy and a multi-release roadmap for a major part of Events Management.

  • Understand customer needs, industry workflows, competitive alternatives, and existing product capabilities to determine what we should build and in what order.

  • Make clear prioritization and product decisions across competing customer needs, technical constraints, and longer-term product goals.

  • Work ahead of delivery teams to define future capabilities, requirements, dependencies, and key product decisions.

  • Partner closely with Engineering and Design throughout development to make sure the product being built matches the intended outcome.

  • Bring together Engineering, Design, other Product teams, architects, industry experts, customer teams, and go-to-market partners to deliver capabilities that often cross organizational boundaries.

  • Work directly with life sciences customers through discovery, roadmap discussions, product presentations, and demonstrations.

  • Stay accountable after launch: understand adoption, customer feedback, product quality, and usage data, and use what we learn to improve the product.

  • Develop a clear point of view on how our Events Management product should differentiate in the market.

What we are looking for

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including significant experience building enterprise software.

  • Strong life sciences domain experience, ideally as a product manager building products for pharmaceutical or biotech organizations.

  • Experience owning a substantial product area rather than individual features.

  • Strong product judgment and the ability to prioritize across a large collection of customer, market, and product needs.

  • Experience developing product strategy and translating it into a roadmap spanning multiple releases.

  • Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels — from setting long-term direction to working through detailed product decisions with Engineering and Design.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to drive decisions without direct authority.

  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers and presenting to both business and technical audiences.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

  • A strong sense of product quality and a willingness to stay close to what customers actually experience after something ships.

Especially useful experience

Experience in one or more of the following would be particularly valuable:

  • Life sciences Events Management

  • Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, Compliance, or related life sciences workflows

  • Healthcare professional engagement, speaker programs, or event compliance

  • Budgeting, contracting, payments, approvals, or other governed workflows

  • Salesforce or another configurable enterprise platform

  • Mobile enterprise applications and offline workflows

  • AI- assisted enterprise products with appropriate controls and human review

The goal of this role is straightforward: own an important part of our Events Management product and make it meaningfully better with every release —- for our customers, for the people using it, and for Salesforce.
