Description
As Global Account Manager, you'll own the strategy and results for a major global telecommunications account — balancing quick wins with multi-year transformation bets. You'll operate as a trusted advisor to the client's C-suite, using consultative selling to uncover their biggest challenges and connect them to Salesforce's AI-powered platform. You'll also build and lead a cross-functional, global virtual team to deliver on that strategy.
Your Responsibilities
- Own the global account strategy and P&L for a multinational telecom group headquartered in Germany
- Lead and coordinate a global virtual team across a matrix organization spanning regions and functions
- Engage C-level decision makers through value-based selling — business cases, ROI analysis, references, and analyst data
- Align internal teams (Sales Engineering, Sales Specialists, Marketing, Business Development, Professional Services, Executives, Partners) around a single account strategy
- Partner with Global Systems Integrators (GSIs) and Services to plan and deliver contracted technical solutions
- Mentor junior Account Executives and virtual team members
- Forecast accurately and consistently deliver against revenue targets
Your Qualifications
Required
- Proven track record selling complex enterprise software or technology to C-level stakeholders at a global account
- Fluency in German and English, with strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- AI fluency — comfortable evangelizing AI-powered solutions (including Agentforce) and helping clients build a credible AI adoption roadmap
- Experience accurately forecasting and consistently achieving revenue goals
- Comfortable leading through influence across a large, matrixed virtual team
Preferred
- Prior experience in or selling into the Telecommunications sector
- A strong point of view on industry trends, able to build a digital transformation narrative for telco clients
- Experience partnering with GSIs on large-scale technical delivery
