The Product Accessibility team seeks an energetic, motivated and resourceful individual to join our growing team.
As an accessibility engineer, you collaborate with Product Accessibility leadership to accelerate the development of accessible AI-powered products and services across the enterprise. You are passionate about accessibility and excited about the opportunity to transform how Salesforce leverages AI to build accessible products. You solve problems, gravitate towards collaboration, and strive for quality.
As an accessibility subject matter expert with AI/ML experience, you are looked to as an expert, mentor, and evangelist for creating accessible AI systems and AI-powered accessibility tools.
## Responsibilities
- Partner with AI/ML Platform teams, product management, designers, and developers to deliver accessible AI products and features by providing expertise throughout the AI development lifecycle.
- Build AI-powered accessibility tools including prompt libraries, evaluation frameworks, automated testing systems, and remediation tools that scale accessibility work across the enterprise.
- Design and architect prompt systems that encode accessibility best practices for AI code generation across multiple frameworks (React, LWC, native mobile).
- Create and manage training datasets of accessible/inaccessible components with clear annotation guidelines; fine-tune models to improve accessibility detection and remediation.
- Function as a subject matter expert on accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) .
- Educate and train product teams on using AI tools for accessibility, interpreting AI-generated results, and incorporating AI-powered accessibility checks early in development.
- Work with product teams to provide AI-powered accessibility reviews, analyze false positives/negatives, and iteratively improve detection accuracy.
- Develop accessible AI features that are intentional accessibility improvements (e.g., AI-powered closed captioning, real-time accessibility remediation).
- Publish findings internally on AI+accessibility innovations; share learnings and drive adoption across product organizations.
- Provide ad hoc support on AI+accessibility challenges to engineers and product teams.
