Slack is looking for a Director of Product Management to lead our Slackforce Architecture team and own the foundational platform layer that powers every Slack and Salesforce integration.
This is an amazing opportunity for a technical product leader to drive product strategy and execution of a business-critical integration, powering shared data models, authentication, identity, integrated billing capabilities, and a reimagined, Slack-first CRM experience.
What You'll Own
Slackforce Architecture Strategy - Set the technical product strategy for how Slack and Salesforce systems integrate, delivering near-term, incremental wins while keeping an eye building a scalable and sustainable platform
Cross-Functional Leadership - Partner closely with engineering and product leads across Slack and Salesforce to align on Architecture features with the broader Slack and Salesforce strategies.
Execution and Customer Impact - Own feature delivery through inception, build, and launch, all while tracking key customer feedback and metrics.
Your Impact and Product Areas:
Automatic authentication and identity mapping for users - This is the connective tissue between Slack and Salesforce that allows organizations to automatically and securely authenticate their users' access to Slack and Salesforce by accounting for user types and token management. Whether customers leverage a unified SSO platform or disparate systems from merging teams, auto-auth and identity mapping ("Seamless Auth") can be configured to seamlessly authenticate users for data sharing between Slack and Salesforce.
Automatic tenant provisioning - Customers can automatically provision a Salesforce instance from their Slack team or a Slack team from Salesforce, making it easy to experience a world-class integration regardless of where they start.
Admin experience for Slackforce features - Give Salesforce and Slack Admins confidence in enabling and managing all Slackforce features through cohesive controls and visibility.
Unified testing capabilities for Admins - Build trust in AI-first CRM capabilities through familiar, unified testing capabilities across Salesforce and Slack.
Required Skills:
7+ years of product management experience, including time in a platform, infrastructure, or architecture role
Experience with enterprise data models, integration architecture, and/or identity systems
Track record driving technical decisions across engineering teams without direct authority
Clear communicator, able to dig into technical implementation and translate tradeoffs into business terms
Ability to break down and deliver on complex platform capabilities at high velocity
Strong collaboration with other product and cross-functional teams
A related technical degree required.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with the Salesforce platform (data model, metadata, Apex) and Slack's platform primitives
