Job Profile:
The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans for a company's products. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and marketing, to drive product success in the market.
What's Expected from you (Job Responsibilities)
● Develop and refine product positioning and messaging that resonates with the target audience and differentiates the product from competitors.
● Create and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
● Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. Use insights to inform product strategy and messaging.
● Lead product launches, including coordinating marketing activities, creating materials, and training sales and support teams.
● Develop marketing collateral, including product guides, sales presentations, website content, and case studies.
● Work closely with sales teams to provide them with the tools and resources needed to sell the product, including training and sales materials effectively.
● Develop and execute marketing campaigns to generate demand and drive product adoption.
● Manage the product lifecycle, including product updates, enhancements, and end-of-life decisions.
● Continuously monitor and analyze the competitive landscape to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for the product.
● Collaborate with product management, engineering, sales, and other teams to ensure alignment and successful product launches.
● Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product marketing efforts and make data-driven decisions.
Skills we are looking for:
● Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field is typically required. A master's degree may be preferred.
● 4+ years of relevant marketing experience, including several years in product marketing roles.
● Strong understanding of the product or industry in which the company operates, including technical aspects of the product.
● Excellent strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute product marketing strategies.
● Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams.
● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
● Proficiency in data analysis and using data to drive marketing decisions.
● The ability to work closely with sales teams to understand their needs and provide adequate sales support.
● The ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
● Familiarity with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and other marketing technologies is a plus
