Job Profile:

Amagi is looking for a proactive and business-oriented legal generalist to join us as Legal Counsel and the second member of our growing legal team. In this broad and challenging role, you will be instrumental in supporting our global business initiatives and further developing our standards and procedures. This role will report to Amagi’s VP, Legal, and will require coordination with global cross-functional partners across multiple geographies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, including services agreements, partnership agreements, data processing agreements, non-disclosure, and other commercial agreements in collaboration with relevant business and technical partners
  • Assist with compliance with legal policies and procedures, best practices, controls, and statutory requirements
  • Review new products/services and initiatives to provide legal risk mitigation strategies and draft related terms and conditions, FAQs, legal disclaimers, and governing policies
  • Provide thought partnership and assist as needed on corporate transactions, intellectual property matters, privacy, employment law, compliance, litigation, and any other legal matters that may arise globally
  • Draft and continuously update contract templates and processes to help us scale globally with a thoughtful and consistent but locally tailored approach
  • Work with internal business clients to develop and implement best practices, processes, and internal resources, such as playbooks, FAQs, training and presentations, to support business objectives
  • Assist with the implementation of contract management tools and management of contract management processes and procedures on a go-forward basis


Skills and Expertise Required:

  • LL.B. Degree from a recognized university in India
  • Minimum of 8 years of legal experience, preferably in a multinational corporation or law firm
  • Experience with the IPO process, including pre-IPO readiness and related corporate governance and compliance practices
  • Familiarity with a broad range of corporate and business laws
  • Sound business judgment, highly organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, international, and constantly evolving environment
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and analyze potential legal issues and provide thoughtful, pragmatic, and business-oriented legal advice and solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to clearly and concisely convey complex concepts and recommendations
  • Highly collaborative with a strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner across functions to build consensus
  • Comfort working in a global organization
  • Experience negotiating SaaS agreements is a plus
  • Media tech, experience with digital advertising, and/or privacy expertise are a plus
