The job responsibilities of a payment specialist typically revolve around managing and optimizing the payment processes within an organization. Here are some key responsibilities often associated with this role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Management: Handling daily payment transactions, including processing payments, refunds, and chargebacks.
  • Payment Gateway Management: Setting up, configuring, and managing payment gateways and processors.
  • Reconciliation: Ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of payment transactions with bank statements and accounting records.
  • Duplicate validation: Ensuring duplicate payment validation.
  • Compliance: Ensuring on time vendor payments and closing MSME open items on time.
  • Statutory payment: Ensuring on time statutory payment like TDS, GST, VAT, US advance taxes.
  • Customer Support: Handling payment-related inquiries.
  • Dispute Resolution: Managing and resolving payment disputes and chargebacks efficiently.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluating and improving payment processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Documentation: Maintaining up-to-date documentation of payment procedures and policies.
  • Strategy Development: Contributing to the development of payment strategies that align with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • M.Com Finance (3-5 years) with in-depth knowledge in Oracle Net-Suite.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel) and should be good at oral and written communication.
  • Should hold experience in handling banking activities like payments, Bank reconciliation, Vendor queries, statutory payments, intercompany transactions and should have worked with multiple entities.
