Job Profile:

The Business Development Representative (BDR) – APAC will play a critical role in driving Amagi’s outbound pipeline across the APAC region. This individual will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities across the region’s diverse and fast-evolving media landscape. With a deep understanding of the local and regional markets and proven outbound strategies, you will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to contribute to Amagi’s year-over-year growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prospecting & Lead Generation

  • Identify and research high-potential accounts across the APAC region using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Slintel, and Salesforce.
  • Conduct outreach via email, phone, and social media to generate qualified meetings with senior decision-makers (Director-level and above).
  • Understand and navigate organizational structures to identify key stakeholders.

2. Account Strategy & Mapping

  • Collaborate with Sales leaders to define and prioritize target accounts in the Broadcast, Content Owner, and Streaming segments.
  • Conduct thorough account mapping and maintain a repository of contacts and touchpoints.
  • Stay current with regional industry trends, competitive landscape, and media consumption shifts to tailor prospecting efforts.

3. Campaign Execution & Collaboration

  • Execute localized outreach campaigns in partnership with Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Contribute to region-specific messaging and talk tracks based on vertical-specific pain points and Amagi’s value proposition.
  • Align outreach with global initiatives, ensuring consistent brand messaging and value communication.

4. Meeting Handoff & Support

  • Book discovery meetings and provide comprehensive prospect briefs (BANT framework) to Sales Representatives.
  • Participate in initial calls as needed to ensure a smooth handoff and accurate qualification.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene and ensure timely logging of all engagement in Salesforce.

Skills and Expertise Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, preferably in SaaS, MediaTech, Broadcast, or OTT industries.
  • Demonstrated success in outbound sales and pipeline generation, particularly in multicultural, diverse APAC markets.
  • Strong understanding of the APAC media ecosystem, with specific exposure to South Asian markets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; additional Asian language proficiency is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and modern prospecting tools.
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset, able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

KPIs & Performance Metrics:

  • Map and validate a minimum of 3 new accounts per day.
  • Source 10+ qualified contacts per account.
  • Book a minimum of 2 qualified meetings per week.
  • Ensure strong conversion rates from Lead → MQL → SAL → SQL.
