About the Role

We are seeking a senior technology leader to lead and scale our Bangalore capability center as the primary technology leadership presence for the site. This role will be responsible for building strategic technology capabilities across Digital, Supply Chain Technology, Hardware Engineering, Cloud & Enterprise Platforms, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity functions.

This is a critical leadership role for a seasoned technology executive with a deep experience building and managing global technology organizations at scale, preferably in retail GCCs. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the Bangalore center into a high-impact global technology hub supporting enterprise transformation, innovation, and future capability growth.

The role requires a leader who combines strong retail technology expertise with proven experience building large-scale engineering and enterprise technology teams in complex global environments. The ideal candidate will bring credibility across both technology and business stakeholders and will help establish the Bangalore center as a destination for world-class retail technology talent.


Key Responsibilities

Technology & Capability Leadership

  • Lead the technology strategy and capability buildout for the Bangalore site
  • Build and scale teams across Digital, Supply Chain Technology, Hardware Engineering, Cloud Platforms, Enterprise Systems, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity
  • Partner with global technology and business leaders to support enterprise transformation priorities
  • Establish scalable operating models, governance frameworks, and delivery excellence standards across technology functions
  • Drive the AI, digital, and broader technology agenda for the GCC, enabling innovation, transformation, and future-ready capability development.

Retail Technology Transformation

  • Drive modernization initiatives across retail technology ecosystems, including digital platforms, supply chain systems, cloud environments, and enterprise applications
  • Bring strategic perspective on the evolution of retail technology, omnichannel capabilities, infrastructure modernization, and cybersecurity resilience
  • Support enterprise-wide transformation initiatives through technology innovation and operational excellence
  • Foster an engineering-led culture focused on scalability, agility, innovation, and customer impact

Site Leadership & Organizational Scaling

  • Serve as the senior technology leadership presence for the Bangalore capability center
  • Build and scale high-performing global technology teams and leadership pipelines
  • Shape organizational design and long-term capability expansion strategies for the site
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across multiple geographies to drive alignment and collaboration

Talent & Market Leadership

  • Establish a strong employer brand within Bangalore’s retail and technology ecosystem
  • Attract, develop, and retain senior engineering and enterprise technology talent
  • Mentor future technology leaders and build a strong succession pipeline
  • Act as a visible and credible leader within the GCC and retail technology landscape

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 25+ years of experience in enterprise and retail technology leadership roles
  • Proven experience building, scaling, or leading large global technology organizations, GCCs, or capability centers
  • Strong retail, e-commerce industry experience is essential
  • Strong experience in leading AI transformation projects for the enterprise
  • Deep expertise across multiple technology domains, including:
    • Digital & Customer Technology
    • Supply Chain Technology
    • Hardware / Store Technology
    • Cloud & Enterprise Platforms
    • Infrastructure & Enterprise Systems
    • Cybersecurity / CISO-led environments
  • Experience leading large-scale enterprise transformation and modernization initiatives
  • Strong understanding of global operating models and distributed technology organizations
  • Demonstrated success managing complex stakeholder environments across multiple geographies
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior global leadership teams
  • Proven ability to build high-performing engineering and technology leadership teams
