About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Lead Design to join our team at Apna Mart. The ideal candidate is responsible for setting the overall design strategy and vision for a company's products or services, and ensuring that designs align with the brand and business objectives and will lead the design team, craft user-centric experiences, and ensure our digital products offer intuitive, efficient, and innovative solutions. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to shape the future of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the company's design strategy, aligning it with business goals and market trends.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the design team, providing creative direction and guidance.
• Oversee the entire design process, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely delivery of projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, engineering) to ensure a cohesive design vision and achieve business objectives.
• Establish and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring that designs are consistent with the company's visual identity.
• Conduct user research to understand user needs and incorporate findings into designs to improve user experience.
• Manage design budgets, allocate resources, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Stay up-to-date with design trends and emerging technologies, incorporating innovative solutions into design practices.

Key Skills and Qualification:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in a design-related field, such as graphic design, fine arts, or a related field, is often expected. Additionally, 5-10 years of experience in design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, is generally needed.
• Extensive design experience and a strong portfolio showcasing diverse design skills.
• Proven leadership and management experience, including leading and mentoring design teams.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of design tools and software, as well as industry best practices.
• Passion for design and a commitment to creating exceptional user experiences.
