Strategic Responsibilities

• Develop the annual audit plan based on organizational risk priorities.
• Collaborate with the Risk Management team to develop dashboards, automated scripts, and continuous monitoring controls.
• Promote adoption of digital tools within the audit team (e.g., Power BI, ACL, Python).
• Coach, supervise, and develop digital audit team members.
• Assist in developing and updating audit programs, policies, and procedures.

BAU Responsibilities

• Scope and lead audits covering financial records, operational procedures, risk management, and all digital/IT-enabled processes, including system integrations, IT General Controls (ITGC), cybersecurity, data management, cloud environments, ERP systems, and automated workflows across Astro’s departments (e.g. Customer Orders, Pricing Framework, Payment Disbursement, Journal Entries), to identify control gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare clear, detailed audit reports with findings, root-causes, potential risks, recommendations, and corrective action plans.
• Perform detailed review of working paper and audit reports prepared by internal audit team members before presented to lead, head, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor and follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely implementation from related stakeholders.
• Identify potential fraud patterns and perform basic digital forensic reviews (e.g. log access, transaction trails, data anomalies).
• Work collaboratively with IT, cybersecurity, data, and business teams.
• Ensure audits align with internal audit methodology and frameworks such as COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001, SOX, and ITIL.

Managing Team Responsibilities:

• Lead & execute internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal designs and controls, compliance with company policies, and adherence to regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.
• Min. 6-10 years experience as an Auditor from a reputable KAP (Big 4 is preferable) or Internal Auditor from retail industries.
• Experience leading digital or IT audit projects, technology risk, cybersecurity audit, or digital assurance.
• Strong understanding of ITGC, cybersecurity frameworks, cloud technologies, and data governance.
• Professional certification or progress toward CIA, CPA, or CISA is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of risk management, internal control frameworks (COSO, COBIT), and auditing standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information.
• Proficient in Google Workspaces (Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides, ect).
• Familiarity with Astro’s technology stack, including backend systems in Go (Golang), web applications built with JavaScript (ReactJS), data platforms using Python and SQL, and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 with X++), to effectively review automated controls, system integrations, and data flows.
