About this Position
As a Payroll Senior Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting compensation and benefits administration for our employees. You will be responsible for payroll validation, BPJS administration, payroll compliance, and people reporting, working closely with internal stakeholders to maintain data accuracy and deliver a seamless employee experience. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about driving operational excellence in HR.
Job description:
As an Astronaut, your responsibililities are:
Payroll Validation
- Line-by-line validation of internal and mitra payroll calculations before submission to Lead for spot check
- Reconcile payroll output against HR master file and HRIS data
- Cross-check variable income and deduction components against approved source data
- Flag and resolve discrepancies — escalate to Lead only for unresolvable issues or material anomalies
- Maintain payroll validation checklist as audit trail each cycle
Compensation & Benefit
- BPJS Kesehatan & Ketenagakerjaan: full cycle for internal employees — enrollment, changes, deactivation, billing reconciliation
- Work accident (kecelakaan kerja) coordination for mitra workforce
- Support salary structure review and compensation benchmarking
- Assist in benefit policy updates and insurance vendor management (Kecelakaan Mitra)
Reporting
- Prepare and own monthly people report for leadership
Requirements:
In order to be an Astronaut, you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, or HR Operations.
- Strong understanding of Indonesia payroll regulations, including BPJS administration and payroll compliance.
- Proven experience in payroll validation, reconciliation, and HRIS/payroll systems.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in handling employee data and payroll calculations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced in preparing HR/payroll reports for management.
- Hands-on experience managing payroll for at least 1,500 employees, with strong knowledge of payroll compliance, BPJS, taxation, and Indonesian labor regulations.
- Proven track record in handling and resolving payroll-related matters involving BPJS, Disnaker, tax authorities, and other regulatory institutions.
- Strong understanding of payroll validation, reconciliation, HRIS, and payroll systems; experience with outsourced/mitra workforce payroll is a plus.
- Confident and articulate in presenting data, reporting metrics, and delivering strategic insights directly to senior leadership.
- Experienced in translating complex numbers and payroll calculations into clear, high-level management reports.
