Job description

We're looking for a senior design leader to join Atlassian’s Enterprise and Monetization (E&M) design leadership team. As the design leader of our E&M -focused initiatives, you will help shape the future of Atlassian’s fastest growing product, Jira Service Management. In this role, you'll be responsible for leading a design team to improve existing functionality and build new features. This work will directly impact tens of thousands of customers and hundreds of thousands of users.

As a design leader for E&M, you will:

• Be a strategic partner of the E&M leadership team, working closely with the Heads of Engineering and Product to define the product strategy and roadmap.

• Lead teams to create & discover levers for paid-user growth, simplify complex admin processes to expedite adoption, systems-think platform features, and more.

• Lead the E&M design team across India and Australia, working closely with the design leaders across IT Solutions and Atlassian. Responsibilities here include:

  • Have an understanding of product metrics and translate goals to the design teams

  • Lead the overall design vision that enhances our business goals across the company

  • Establish, and maintain, a high quality bar for shipped design work with your team

  • Proactively look for opportunities to improve the design of our products

• Create and share our product design strategy through storytelling with great presentations skills

• Be a tireless innovator. With a pulse on the constantly changing strategy and trends in product design, you will help your team anticipate and adjust to new challenges and ensure constant innovation within your product

• Build and lead a high-performing team of designers with a passion for developing others

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have 15+ years of professional UX design experience

• Adept at managing teams of 20+ designers and design managers, and scaling geographically dispersed teams.

• Experience being a remote leader, and has demonstrated the ability to build great relationships with other (remote) teams and leaders

• Demonstrate a record of shipping simple, beautiful software. Must have experience leading multiple streams of work with multiple teams

• Have a strong passion for (and experience in) building complex enterprise-level software

• Help grow those around you and challenge them to perform at their best

• Ability to paint a compelling vision to inspire your teams and partners

• Domain expertise in ITSM, E&M, Dev / DevOps is a plus
