We are looking for an Account Executive to join our APAC Mid-Market team. You will manage accounts for our India-based customers helping these customers scale their use of solutions and services across multiple areas such as Agile DevOps, Work Management and IT Service Management. As a member of the team, you will build and nurture relationships with customers and external partners, as well as collaborate with our internal teams such as Partner Managers, Sales Development Representatives, Account Managers, and Solution Engineers to ensure customer satisfaction.

Account Executives are consultative, solution orientated and creative. They are able to think strategically and effectively prioritize resources to meet the needs of our customers. You need to have an understanding of the Mid-Market Sales process and be able to help us apply what could work to the Atlassian sales model.

You'll report to a Mid-Market Sales Manager, Asia Markets ex Japan.

What you'll do

  • Build and execute sales strategies for the India territory within named Accounts

  • Develop and implement Account and Territory Plan geared at both maximising expansion opportunities across a wide portfolio of solutions and ensuring a high bar of customer success

  • Identify and qualify leads, build relationships with key decision makers, understand customer needs, deliver sales presentations, and close deals

  • Maintain full account ownership while coordinating with a variety of internal roles such as channel, solution engineering, and customer success to provide a seamless customer experience

  • Stay updated on regional and industry trends and competitors to maintain a competitive edge

  • Travel to meet clients and attend industry events as necessary

Your background

  • Experience in a quota-carrying B2B software sales role focused on the India region

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets

  • Experience creating alignment and orchestrating internal account teams to create successful customer outcomes

  • Building and leading territory and strategic account plans

  • Proactively engage customers with a consultative, solution-oriented approach in discovering new opportunities

  • Contribute to the team culture in a positive and impactful way

Preferred additional experience:

  • Experience selling SaaS to Dev/IT audiences

  • Solution selling to VP and C-level Executives

  • Experience working alongside a channel sales organization

  • Familiarity with Atlassian's suite of products

  • Experience with both on-premise and cloud software solutions
