You will be working in the Content Lifecycle Group in Confluence Cloud, managing the team that is responsible for some of the collaborative features the product has to offer, like Inline commenting, content-level commenting, reactions, @ mentions, tasks etc.

The team is an enthusiastic and talented team that has a track record of solving complex problems and is going to be central to the successes of Confluence Cloud as a product in the next couple of years.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $205,800 - $274,400

Zone B: $185,200 - $246,900

Zone C: $170,800 - $227,700

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

  • Develop critical features for Confluence Cloud aimed at improving engagement, like inline comments, page comments, reactions, @ mentions, tasks etc.

  • Inspire innovation and operational excellence

  • Own the delivery of critical projects in micro-services & monolith environments

  • Be the engineering voice in our quarterly planning process, partnering with Product, Design, Data Science and Program Management

  • Build an open, trusting, operationally mature culture

  • Participate in hiring planning and other budgeting exercises

  • Collaborate in technical/architectural discussions, provide direction, and drive decision-making


  • 5+ years of experience managing software engineers

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferably a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience)

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with product managers, designers and data science to charter the course of a product

  • Familiarity working with public-facing high-traffic e-commerce websites

  • Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement

  • Demonstrated experience with establishing and maintaining healthy cloud related operational metrics

  • Demonstrated track record of empathetic leadership
