Your future team
As Senior Technical Program Manager for Identity, you'll report to the Head of Technical Program Management for Identity. You will be responsible for some of the critical components, customer scenarios and programs related to the platform.
The Identity team is building a platform and solutions, to enable Atlassian’s customers and partners to access the resources and content they are authorised to across all Atlassian products.
This is an exciting time to join the TPM team which is still in a formation stage. You'll have the opportunity to help shape the Technical Program Management craft. The three pillars of attributes we believe make an impactful TPM are: 1. Strong technical depth, 2. Ability to shape product strategy, and 3. Drive execution in close collaboration with engineering stakeholders and other numerous crafts and product areas.
Drive adoption and usage of the Identity platform across Atlassian products
In collaboration with the Identity TPM team and Engineering partners, using your technical depth and product sense skills you'll contribute to the definition of the technical strategy, design, and roadmap of the product area.
You'll help scope and drive the Identity-wide programs, including scoping and executing the technical projects, these will have a broad scope across the company and will include managing complex dependencies.
You'll analyse the current state of the Identity platform and product components, business objectives, customer needs, product adoption inhibitors, and industry trends.
As one of the owners of the Identity product area, you'll identify any inhibitors, issues or opportunities, and address them or find the right owners to take action.
Ensure translation of the strategy and platform/product requirements into technical requirements and solutions in collaboration with your partner teams and engineering counterparts.
5+ years recent experience collaborating with software teams in similar relevant roles such as Technical Platform Product Manager, Technical/Software Program Manager, or Engineering/Development Manager.
You'll need to have exposure with Identity/IAM platforms or solutions, including authorisation and authentication.
Experience analysing business priorities, customer needs, industry trends and articulating a technical roadmap for your product area in collaboration with engineering partners
Experience influencing architecture or technical design using your technical acumen and understanding of how backend systems are designed
You've led complex technical projects end to end, spanning multiple teams and dependancies, including collaborating with engineering stakeholders, identifying and mitigating risks, and making trade-off decisions to optimise the outcome
Able to translate customer and/or product requirements into technical requirements
Experience building commercial Cloud Services is a big plus
