Your future team

Our Global Compensation Design and Delivery team is comprised of people with backgrounds in compensation, analytics, and systems. We're hiring a Compensation Design Analyst, reporting to the Director of Global Compensation, Design and Delivery.


Compensation Design & Delivery:

  • Provides analysis and counsel to management on compensation programs and initiatives related to pay structures, short & long term incentives, and other strategic compensation details

  • Stays abreast of compensation trends and develops recommendations supporting business initiatives

  • Assists in the development, analysis, and implementation of salary, global compensation policies, and variable pay plans (e.g., merit, annual incentives, bonuses, equity awards, etc.)

  • Deliver strategic insights and solutions that support Atlassian's core business goals, through best in class compensation design and delivery.

Data Analysis & Metrics:

  • Design and build compensation metrics, reports, and tools to inform compensation design decisions and forecast/analyze compensation budgets and outcomes

  • Develop, analyze, and maintain analysis and visualization leveraging Excel and Tableau to support data driven decisions

  • Manage and analyze complex datasets to distill data-driven compensation insights and convey findings

  • Model compensation scenarios and build tools to improve efficiency

Communications and Partnerships

  • Contribute to core documentation, pay explainability pages, and engagement materials for core partners and senior leaders in efforts to inform and influence.


  • 6+ years of experience in compensation, consulting, or related field in a high-growth, fast paced environment required

  • Experience building compensation programs, managing projects, and scaling processes with company growth

  • Experience working with base pay and incentive plans, required

  • Experience with global compensation strongly preferred

  • Proficient in SQL

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience required, a strong background in data/quantitative analysis such as Finance, Statistics, or Economics preferred

  • Ability to present and distill complex topics in a concise and meaningful manner to diverse stakeholders

  • Must be able to independently problem solve and work under pressure in a deadline driven, rapidly changing organization

  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining confidential and sensitive information

  • The ability to gain alignment and represent a common point of view across multiple stakeholder

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $152,300 - $203,000

Zone B: $137,100 - $182,700

Zone C: $126,400 - $168,500

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
