Apply for this job

Working at Atlassian

Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

This is a remote position. To help our teams work together effectively, this role requires you to be located in the Pacific Standard Timezone.

We are seeking a Principal Program Manager to join the CTO Strategic Initiatives team. As a key member of this dynamic group, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of strategic programs in support of building a world class engineering organization.

What you'll do

You have a versatile skillset encompassing all facets of program management, spanning from the initial stages to final delivery. You have experience with early talent development, data analytics, and global program management. You use data to evaluate the program's effectiveness, implement improvements, and develop a systemic framework for conversion from intern to full-time roles.

  • Design, implement, and scale a comprehensive program for our Engineering Interns and Early Career Talent.

  • Manage projects and deliverables across a set of cross-functional partners on a variety of program and business work streams.

  • Lead strategy and implementation for the Global engineering program in partnership with leaders and stakeholders.

  • Define goals and data metrics to measure the effectiveness of and improve upon the program.

  • Create stable, scalable, and sustainable programming across the Engineering job family and beyond.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience across program management

  • Experience with data analytics and insights, ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights

  • Excellent verbal, written, and facilitation skills (including experience with facilitating meetings and engaging with an executive audience).

  • Demonstrated experience and success leading high-impact, cross-functional programs

  • Have flexibility and have a history of delivering impactful, scalable programs

  • Expertise partnering with leaders and stakeholders on strategy while leading roadmap creation, prioritization processes, and change management communication.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $192,000 - $256,000

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
