Principal Business Analyst - Finance Transformation

You will become the Principal Business Analyst on the team who not only understands the financial data at Atlassian but also knows how to use it to make that data actionable. A primary focus will be working with the Finance Transformation team to evaluate use case opportunities, support business case analyses, and establish value realization dashboards to support quote to cash transformation efforts to help us establish a best-in-class experience across sales, contract management, product delivery, billing, and cash collection. You will partner with business stakeholders to compile and analyze data to test strategic hypotheses and problem statements to support decision-making (e.g., thresholds, growth opportunities), build data foundations for robust driver-tree business cases and value realization frameworks, assist in prioritizing opportunities, and establish dashboards to visualize complex analyses for general use. You will collaborate with data engineers to enhance data infrastructure to make analytics easier and more scalable.

On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:

• 8+ years of experience in complex data analytics or relevant experience using data to drive insights at industry-leading or fast-growing companies

• Ability to stitch together data from various sources to provide meaningful insights based on use case hypotheses

• Expertise in SQL, Tableau, Excel, and other analytics tools

• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing environments and initiatives

• An excellent communicator and passionate to collaborate with global, multi-functional teams

• A strong desire to execute, drive impact, and demonstrate ownership with projects big and small

It’s preferred, but not required that you have:

• A degree in Business, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, or a related analytical field

• A basic understanding of the SaaS commercial model, inclusive of quote to cash (sales, billing, finance, etc.)

• Experience using Databricks, Python, and dbt

• Familiarity with finance processes, systems, and accounting concepts.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $149,000 - $198,700

Zone B: $134,100 - $178,800

Zone C: $123,700 - $164,900

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
