Team Focus: We are focused on developing robust automation capabilities that will empower Atlassian Studio and Agentic Automation. Our goal is to create a sophisticated orchestration engine that facilitates the seamless coordination of complex business workflows. This engine will not only automate system actions but also ensure the consistency and efficiency of processes across various teams.

What you'll do:

• Be responsible for high-quality software delivery, grow individuals and groom leaders on the team and contribute to architecture

• Work with leadership and partners to strategize, evolve a roadmap and provide high quality solutions

• Identify blockers, goals, success metrics ensuring awareness, OKR/roadmap awareness, and expectations

• Manage projects, process, partners and timelines

• Manage a growing team of Tech Leads and Software Engineers

• Hire a diverse team of engineers from entry level to principal

You will report to the Head of Engineering of Automation.

Your Background:

• 5+ years of experience managing large software engineering teams (typically more than 10 engineers).

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science

• Proficiency in one or more prominent programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React) with experience leading teams that develop scalable services.

• Understanding of the SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS industries, with hands-on experience in public cloud offerings (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Ability to evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, and overall operational excellence
