Senior Commercial Counsel, GTM & Supplier
Atlassian
We are looking for an experienced legal counsel in the United States or Canada to join our dynamic and collaborative Go-to-Market & Supplier legal (GTMS) team at Atlassian. In this role, you will serve as an individual contributor within a team of legal professionals, supporting and advancing go-to-market initiatives as part of Atlassian’s Commercial Legal team.
Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities.
This is an exceptional opportunity to become an integral member of a rapidly expanding large-enterprise commercial legal team. You will play a crucial role contributing to key company initiatives and objectives while further developing as a subject matter expert (SME) in several priority areas.
In this position, you will engage in multiple work streams across our Go-To-Market pillars, with work on Supplier work streams from time to time. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining developer partner ecosystem standard and specialized program terms and conditions, and negotiating variations on technology rev share and other commercial agreements, sponsorship agreements, and marketplace agreements. You will provide legal advice regarding how we go to market by, through and with ISVs and other technology partners, including negotiations over how our products interoperate with third-party technology. You will advise the business about how best to introduce innovations such as AI to our partners and the broader market, and about legal considerations affecting major marketing initiatives, marketplace expansion, pricing changes and other revenue drivers, as well as customer support initiatives.
Your role will be pivotal in driving transformation within GTMS, and through collaboration, the broader Commercial Legal team. You will investigate and identify opportunities to divert routine, low-touch, high-volume transaction work to AI and alternative legal support models, allowing the GTMS to focus on delivering higher-value and more complex legal advice and work product faster, helping internal and external business partners more timely achieve key business objectives.
