Lifecycle & Advocacy Marketing Summer Intern

Apply for this job

Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

This role is remote, so you can be based anywhere in Poland.

Are you curious about why customers drift — and what brings them back?

Do you get excited about blending data, psychology, and marketing to drive real business impact?

Join our Lifecycle Marketing team this summer and help design campaigns that re-engage customers, increase product usage, and fuel long-term adoption.

About the Role
This internship sits within our Lifecycle & Advocacy Campaign Marketing organization, focused on boosting customer adoption and engagement. Our mission is to ensure customers who invest in our solutions realize value — by using them, growing their proficiency, loving the experience, and sharing that success with others.

You’ll lead a focused re-engagement initiative designed to increase returning Monthly Active Usage (MAU). This is not a shadowing role — you’ll analyze real customer data, define opportunity segments, build a campaign, measure results, and present insights.

Identify Opportunity Segments

  • Identify and analyze three dormant or low-activity customer segments as candidates for return-to-MAU campaigns

  • Evaluate behavioral patterns, engagement drop-offs, and potential reactivation triggers

  • Size the opportunity and assess potential impact

  • Select one priority segment to take from insight to execution

Build a Reactivation Campaign

  • Develop a lifecycle messaging strategy tailored to your selected segment

  • Design a fully vetted campaign (email, in-product, digital touchpoints)

  • Craft compelling copy that motivates action

  • Partner cross-functionally with analytics and marketing leads

Measure Impact & Present Insights

  • Track campaign performance and return-to-product behavior

  • Analyze reactivation lift and downstream engagement

  • Identify what drives renewed momentum

  • Deliver a final executive presentation with recommendations for scaling

By the end of the summer, you’ll have built a real Lifecycle Reactivation Playbook with measurable business impact.

  • Currently enrolled in a 3 year bachelor degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship, graduating by June 2027

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, English, Communication, or similar

  • Strong written and spoken communication English skills

  • Experience working in a team environment

  • Ability to stay organized while juggling numerous priorities

  • Must be flexible and able to learn new software quickly - experience with Lithium/Khoros or other community software, Trello, Confluence, Bunchball/Nitro, and Excel are a plus but not a requirement.

  • Able to commit to a 12 week full-time (40hrs/week) internship during Summer 2026

What We’re Looking For
You’re a strong fit if you:
Love asking “why” and digging into data

  • Can translate insights into clear marketing strategies

  • Write compelling copy that drives action

  • Are curious about customer behavior and engagement psychology

  • Get excited about how marketing fuels adoption and business growth

  • Thrive in both creative and analytical environments

Bonus if you have experience with:

  • Marketing analytics tools

  • CRM or campaign platforms

  • Conversion-focused writing

  • SaaS, product marketing, or growth marketing

This internship is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond theory and into impact — building campaigns that don’t just get clicks, but bring customers back and keep them growing.

If you’re excited by growth, experimentation, and the challenge of turning insight into action, we’d love to meet you.
