Beek is building the Netflix for audio in the Spanish-speaking market. Today Beek is the biggest book review site in Latin America with over 2 million monthly visits and 20 times more Spanish book reviews than Amazon. After becoming the place where Latinos look for book reviews, we launched our audiobook subscription service to help all those people looking at book reviews consume books in the format of the future: audiobooks. We are the first Mexican startup ever admitted into Y Combinator, the same accelerator where Dropbox, Airbnb, Stripe, and Reddit started. We are backed by top-tier investors from Silicon Valley, including Accel Partners, known for their investments in Facebook, Spotify, Dropbox, Slack, and many others. Other really cool investors and mentors you would work with include: Gustaf Alströmer (former Head of Growth at Airbnb), Casey Winters (former Head of Product at Pinterest), Avichal Garg (ex-Product at Facebook), Noah Weiss (Head of Search and Intelligence at Slack), Sriram Krishnan (ex-Head of International Growth at Tinder), Sam Altman (President at Y Combinator), and Bob Metcalfe (inventor of the Ethernet and Metcalfe’s Law). We are really trying to build the biggest and best company that has ever happened in LATAM… and we’re just starting! If you want to be part of this journey, hit us up at [email protected]
