About BlaBlaCar

BlaBlaCar is the world’s leading community-based travel app enabling 27 million members a year to carpool or travel by bus in 21 countries. Our team of 800 employees counts over 50 nationalities and is spread across our 5 global offices, 30% working fully remotely.

Your Missions

As our new HR Country specialist based in Sao Paulo, you will be the backbone of our Brazil operations, acting as the strategic bridge between our Paris HR/Finance teams and our local partners. You are not just a coordinator; you are the owner of local compliance, payroll accuracy, and office culture. You will ensure our growth in Brazil is supported by robust policies and seamless administrative execution. You will be reporting to the Head of People Operations, data & systems working closely with HRBPs, HR Data and Systems Specialist, the global People Ops team, and local leaders.

Your responsibilities

  • People operations & payroll: own the end-to-end employee lifecycle—from onboarding to offboarding—ensuring 100% accuracy in payroll cycles and leave management. Act as the trusted first point of contact for all local employees and leaders regarding daily HR queries.

  • HR compliance & strategy : serve as the expert lead for Brazilian labor regulations, maintaining all internal policies and benefit schemes (meal, gym, etc.) in strict legal accordance. Partner with our Compensation & Benefits Specialist and HRBP team, to lead the implementation of remuneration policies, including precise bonus calculations and collective bargaining (Dissídios) alignment.

  • Workplace & culture: in partnership with the Global Engagement team, you will lead the design and execution of local team events and office initiatives. You will be responsible for balancing a high-quality employee experience with rigorous budget optimization and operational efficiency.

  • Finance & office operations: manage accounts payable, payment requisitions, and invoice organization. Support budget planning and cost controlling while overseeing all office logistics, vendor relationships, and facility maintenance.

Your qualifications

  • Significant experience in People Operations within Brazil. You must have a strong grasp of CLT, collective bargaining (Dissídios), and payroll nuances to ensure 100% compliance.
  • Proven ability to move beyond task execution on your scope. You can take full accountability for a topic, treat it as a project, and drive it to completion autonomously while providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with a meticulous eye for detail, specifically when managing confidential financial and employee data.
  • A proactive communicator who naturally builds bridges between local teams and global leadership. You bring a solution-oriented, positive energy to the office environment.
