Role Description The CAD Designer will create detailed digital jewelry designs and technical drawings that support BlueStone’s design and manufacturing processes. This full-time, on-site role is based in Bengaluru and involves translating creative concepts into precise CAD models, construction drawings, and production-ready specifications. The CAD Designer will collaborate closely with design, merchandising, and manufacturing teams to refine designs, ensure feasibility, and maintain brand standards. Daily responsibilities include updating design files, preparing documentation for prototyping and production, ensuring dimensional accuracy and material specifications, and aligning work with quality and safety guidelines. The role also includes contributing to design improvements, supporting new collections, and working within project timelines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and software, with the ability to create accurate 3D models and technical representations.
- Solid skills in Technical Drawing and Drawing, including the ability to interpret and develop detailed sketches and design layouts.
- Experience producing Construction Drawings and Design Engineering documentation for manufacturing or prototyping, preferably in jewelry or related industries.
- Attention to detail, strong spatial visualization, and an understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerances.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate design intent clearly, and respond constructively to feedback.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Design, Mechanical Engineering, Jewelry Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with industry standards, quality assurance practices, and safety guidelines; experience in a jewelry or fashion accessories environment is an advantage.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work on-site in Bengaluru on a full-time basis.
