Introduction

Bumble is The Love Company — our mission is to bring people closer to love and create kind, healthy, equitable relationships for everyone. Our Product team transforms that mission into safe, engaging, and meaningful experiences used by millions of members worldwide.

As an Associate Product Manager on Bumble Date, you will build foundational product management skills by contributing to discovery, experimentation, and delivery alongside experienced product leaders. You’ll support well-defined initiatives, help translate member insights into structured product requirements, and learn how product thinking, responsible AI, research, and data come together to deepen human connection while upholding safety and respect. This role is ideal for someone curious, analytical, and eager to grow within a collaborative, values-driven environment.

What you’ll do

Elevate Emerging Member Insights

  • Proactively identify and synthesise evolving member behaviours, cultural trends, and interaction patterns.

  • Translate qualitative and behavioural signals into clear product hypotheses, feature ideas, and roadmap inputs.

  • Maintain a lightweight insight loop (e.g., recurring signal summaries or trend trackers) to inform team discussions.

Deliver Scoped Product Increments

  • Define user stories and clear acceptance criteria for well-scoped features.

  • Partner closely with Design and Engineering to ship meaningful product increments.

  • Validate outcomes using member feedback and quantitative data.

Run Experiments and Learn Quickly

  • Own small, clearly scoped A/B tests to measure impact on activation, engagement, or retention.

  • Partner with Data & Analytics to interpret results and recommend next steps.

  • Share experiment learnings transparently to improve team decision-making.

Explore Segmentation & Personalisation Opportunities

  • Work with Data & Analytics to explore segmentation and cohort insights.

  • Identify high-potential opportunities to improve experiences for key member segments.

Support AI-Enabled Enhancements

  • Identify lightweight AI-enabled opportunities (e.g., recommendations, prompts, automation).

  • Partner with Data and ML teams to scope and test these responsibly.

  • Apply AI tools to improve personal productivity and share learnings with the team.

What success looks like (first 12 months)

  • Shipped 2–3 meaningful feature increments from discovery through delivery.

  • Designed and ran multiple experiments that generated measurable learning.

  • Established a recurring insight-sharing mechanism influencing roadmap discussions.

  • Built trusted cross-functional partnerships across Product, Design, Engineering, Research, and Data.

  • Demonstrated sound judgment in balancing growth, engagement, and member safety.

About you

  • Typically requires 0–1 years of experience, though we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds that demonstrate equivalent skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or similar) or equivalent practical experience.

  • Strong communicator who collaborates effectively across disciplines and follows through from insight to impact.

  • Comfortable running small experiments and interpreting analytics (basic SQL or familiarity with analytics tools such as Amplitude is a plus).

  • Demonstrated ability to observe behavioural shifts and articulate how they could inform product decisions.

  • Familiarity with product discovery methods (interviews, prototyping, usability testing) and translating findings into structured requirements.

  • Curious about AI and eager to experiment responsibly with emerging tools to augment work and product thinking.

  • Human-centred, respectful, and values-driven — role modelling Bumble’s values of Respect, Curiosity, and Courage in how you collaborate and design for members.

About Us
Bumble Inc. is the parent company of Bumble Date, BFF, and Badoo. The Bumble platform enables people to build healthy and equitable relationships, through Kind Connections. Founded by Whitney Wolfe Herd in 2014, Bumble was one of the first dating apps built with women at the center and connects people across dating (Bumble Date) and friendship (BFF). BFF is a friendship app where people in all stages of life can meet people nearby and create meaningful platonic connections and community based on shared interests. Badoo, which was founded in 2006, is one of the pioneers of web and mobile dating products.
AI Fluency
AI is important to us. We’re excited by people who are curious and experimental, and who think thoughtfully about how AI can amplify their impact and outcomes.
We encourage you to use AI responsibly as you prepare your application. Please don’t use it to fabricate experiences or answer questions live in interviews. We care deeply about authenticity and want to understand your real skills, judgment and voice, because building a meaningful, genuine connection with you matters to us.

AI in Bumble Inc. Hiring
At Bumble, we may use AI tools to support parts of our recruitment process — such as helping us record, transcribe, and summarize conversations, and supporting job alignment by comparing resumes and job descriptions to highlight skills and potential roles that may be a good match. These tools help us work more efficiently and stay focused on you during our conversations. Importantly, all hiring decisions are made by people. AI is used only to support our team’s efficiency and improve the candidate experience — not to evaluate or decide on your candidacy. Participation in AI-supported interviews and conversations is completely voluntary and will not impact your candidacy. If you’d prefer to opt out, simply let your recruiter or interviewer know at the start of a call, or anytime during the interview or conversation. Summaries and related data are retained only as long as needed in line with our internal data retention policies. If at any point you’d like a transcription or summary deleted, please contact your recruiter directly.
For further information on how we hold and manage your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
