The Role:

The Global IT Engineering Manager role combines technical knowledge and skills with leadership responsibilities. They lead a team of global IT engineers and provide a strategic direction in projects/tasks/maintenance of all of Marigold’s IT systems on a global scale.

The core strategies include leading the IT Engineering Team to meet business requirements, while developing the team to support the IT needs of the business, maintain existing applications and implementation of new technical solutions.

This role’s main responsibilities are below but are not limited to:

  • Report to the Director of IT operations for status updates/project progressions/planning and team progression.

  • Design, gather, and analyze metrics to drive improvement for the IT engineering team.

  • Manage multiple IT projects, plan roadmaps, oversee all IT engineering tasks and deliver end results on time.

  • Establish, implement, and evaluate, information systems policies and procedures.

  • Connect with IT leaders to gauge and improve effectiveness of support and services.

  • Budgeting and managing costs within the department.

  • Work with internal teams and vendors to evaluate new and emerging technologies, implement new business tools and technologies as well as automation processes for existing technologies.

  • Provide out-of-hour support for emergency situations and escalation for all of Marigold’s backend IT systems.

  • Build, scale, manage, and mentor a strong group of global IT Engineers

  • Developing and maintaining system standards, procedures, and policy.

  • Design, develop and maintain all technical guides, topologies, systems technical architecture/diagrams and all supporting materials of running the whole IT systems and platforms.

  • Acting as a Tier-3 technical support escalation point, reacting to and resolving escalated operational and production related incidents.

  • Security policy adherence of all servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms both on-prem and in the public cloud environments.

  • Other duties as needed to support the role, team, and business.

  • Support, communicate and reinforce the mission, values, philosophy and culture of the organization.

  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team and upper management.
