We are currently hiring a software engineer to join its fast growing innovation engineering team in Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting Marigold’s cloud-based integration platform and solutions used by leading brands in North America, Europe, and Asia. The software engineer will work closely with Marigold’s product management, quality assurance, operations, and customer success teams on a daily basis to deliver innovative and impactful products and services.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation in SaaS development both in cloud and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate should also have an aptitude for quality and a collaborative mindset to learn and contribute while working closely with team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and code software solutions to meet the needs of modern marketers.

• Work through all phases of the software development life cycle using agile methodology, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• Participate in peer code reviews with an open mindset.

• Investigate, analyze and address reported defects in a timely manner.

• Research and apply industry best practices and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

• 4+ years of application development experience with any of the following technologies:Java/Groovy/.Net/.Net core/NodeJS.

• Familiarity with MySql, SqlServer, ORM, CI, Kubernetes/Docker a plus.

• Strong analytical skills, broad understanding of technical landscape, software security and coding best practices.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with local and remote teams in different time zones.

• Demonstrated ability to compose clear and concise technical documentation.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Backend:Java, Groovy .Net, .Net Core or NodeJS.

• Frameworks: .NET, Micronaut
