Job Description

CAN Capital is a fast-growing leader in commercial lending and fintech, dedicated to helping businesses thrive. We’re seeking an experienced Director of Account Servicing to elevate our collections and customer service operations, drive portfolio performance, and deliver exceptional client service.
What You’ll Do

  • Lead & Inspire: Mentor and develop a high-performing team of Loss Mitigation Specialists and Customer Service Representatives, fostering accountability and professional growth.
  • Strategic Impact: Design and implement collections strategies that maximize recovery, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Performance Management: Establish and monitor KPIs and collection goals, reporting results to senior leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with legal, credit, and servicing teams on escalated matters, workout solutions, and litigation strategy.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and refine processes to enhance efficiency, reduce delinquency, and manage high-risk accounts.
  • Compliance Champion: Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations (FDCPA, UDAAP, and other commercial lending laws).
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage analytics and technology to streamline workflows and improve recovery outcomes.
  • Operational Leadership: Represent collections and customer service in cross-departmental projects and contribute to broader company goals.

Requirements

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • 7+ years of collections experience in financial services, commercial lending, or fintech, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Deep knowledge of collections strategies, regulatory frameworks, and best practices in commercial lending
  • Proven success in managing and motivating collections teams
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Analytical mindset with a passion for solving problems and implementing solutions
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment
