The Role

As an AI Solutions Engineer you will spearhead the identification, evaluation, and implementation of AI technologies internally at Lucanet to automate process and drive operational efficiency across the company. Your role will focus on leveraging AI to solve operational challenges, automate processes, and enable our teams to work smarter.

You will take a pragmatic approach, will evaluate problem domains across different functional areas within the company, identifying the best-fitting solutions, and configure or develop the necessary tooling—prioritizing third-party tools wherever they provide optimal outcomes.

You will be a self-starter, passionate about self-directed learning around Generative AI, staying abreast of the latest developments of models, tools and approaches.

What you'll do

• Problem Analysis & Solution Evaluation:
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven process improvements.
  • Evaluate problem domains to understand bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Research and propose the most effective AI solutions, balancing in-house development and third-party tools.
• Solution Development & Implementation:
  • Configure and deploy third-party AI tools to meet specific operational needs.
  • Develop custom code if necessary, using Python and GenAI models to plug tool gaps and deliver value to our end users.
  • Oversee the end-to-end implementation process, ensuring tools are properly aligned with internal workflows.
  • Ensure solutions are developed with the right building blocks to ensure future productivity and scalability, e.g. MCP
• Collaboration & Change Management:
  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., IT, sales, operations, finance, HR) to understand their pain points and objectives.
  • Provide training and support to ensure successful adoption of AI tools.
  • Act as a champion for AI and automation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
  • Establish KPIs to measure the impact and success of AI implementations.
  • Continuously monitor performance and usage of deployed tools.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and lead iterative improvements.

What you bring to the table

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in Systems administration, application integrations and interfaces, automation, devops, data science or related roles, preferably within a corporate environment.
• Proven track record of deploying technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Technical Competence:

• Strong understanding of GenAI technologies, models, concepts.
• Strong hands-on experience working with GenAI models to solve business problems.
• Good data analysis skills to uncover actionable insights.
• Good understanding of data integration tools such as Workato, Mulesoft, etc.
• Experience working with APIs in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with third-party AI tools and platforms, such as Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Knowledge of coding and data manipulation (e.g., json, REST API, Python, SQL).
• Experience using LLM’s with tools and MCP architecture.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities:

• Ability to dissect complex operational challenges and identify appropriate AI solutions.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate tool performance and ensure return on investment.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with non-technical teams and stakeholders.
• Good project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
• Change management experience to drive adoption and cultural alignment for AI initiatives.
